"How does a stomp do more than a 2X4 to the head?" Woolie is clearly unfamiliar with the deep lore of James Sunderland being the ancestor of Isaac Clarke.
@redaffix73202 жыл бұрын
Isaac's boots are actually using gravity to propel him away from the surface he's standing on, so he doesn't destroy all surfaces with his incredible calves. James doesn't have that tech, so he just has to rely self-restraint and comfy shoes. But, when he gets a steppin', bitches be poppin'.
@Postaldude__ Жыл бұрын
Not to be that guy but that still kinda applies in real life. Imagine, if you will: a guy about James’ size and combat experience is going to hit you while you are on the floor. Would you rather: A. Have him awkwardly swing down a 2x4 on you with his arm strength only, probably more so hitting your torso than your head B. Have him stomp his full weight down on your head on the concrete I’d probably go for A. Like damn, man. You ever see American History X?

AAA games are allergic to games like these. There's a reason why around 2008 all the gaming publishers and press were saying “horror games are dead” - the big wigs and bean counters don't like games like this because they're risky. Indie games and smaller studios have put out some really interesting, niche games and I truly believe that's the future for video games moving forward, because the slow gentrification of the mainstream landscape is really wearing people out. We're already seeing Ich.io games taking off, so here's to the future of indie development.
