Arm Rig for Moho 14

This is an rig that works well for arms and legs, allowing to set poses by moving only two pin bones. These are my notes based on MoeU33 video so it's very short.

I used a similar method to make dynamic limbs for Digital DNA. By using pin bones to ensure the rounds of the ends of the limbs, (i.e. ForeArm, Biceps, etc.) stay functional no matter how much I stretch or shrink a bone for tall or short characters. I also use this in my dynamic hands.

Although it's a neat trick, I feel a standard rig (eg. Character Wizard rig) is preferable in most cases.

How do you achieve perpendicular motion, when you want a natural arm swing? If you just animate pin bones they're moved in a straight line. This rig is reminiscent of my "Almighty Arm Rig" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpScZqOYqJ6NhKM) which was also inspired by @MoeU33 (aren't her rigs just amazing?). I kinda found I can rotate the pins and get that effect, that's why I did away with the normal bones entirely - although from an animator's standpoint rotating pins is finicky and I'd rather be able to switch between pin and normal bones in an arm depending on what motion I want.

As you pointed out in your video, this is a problem with this rig. The best use case is cartoony, snappy, pose-to-pose movement. For realistic proportioned characters, I think traditional bone rigging is better and simpler to set up as well.
