I'm sorry for my harsh reply - honestly. Its just that I had been trying to find a place to even simply get the download (nevermind install it) most of the afternoon and was getting crazy frustrated. @ThaFunkster100 Hello, and thanks for the compliment. :) No, I didn't take any part in developing the ACE mod itself, but I guess this trailer is my contribution and it shows my appreciation towards the modteam, which works hard on this. ACE mod is being constantly updated, and support for ArmA2 standalone was dropped while ago. You CAN download a milestone release for ArmA2, but don't expect it to have the newest features. I strongly recommend you to get Operation Arrowhead :)

Thanks - I will get the six updater app. I game on consoles and PC and mods are what can make a game great but it also can be really painful when you are trying to get into a mp session but end up spending hours trying to patch and mod just so you can get in game server thats up to date. About a year ago, I gave up on Arma, because of the glitchiness, and the overall all poor dynamics of the game. I was playing the vanilla version of the game all along, and had no idea that the game could be improved so much from mods and addons. I am happy to say that the Arma shortcut is back on my desktop to stay!

Just a note for anyone who has problems installing ACE2 but who also know how to install addons generally: It requires CBA (Community Based Addons) which is a seperate mod, also available on the Armaholic website. Other than that bit of advice I have nothing to suggest. I'm still new to the modding features of ArmA2 OA myself. =P

I've never played an ArmA game without ACE since I first discovered it a few weeks after installing Armed assault.

People, you have to use six updated to use most of the ARMA 2 mods. Even if you think you are a computer buff. Find the modem the mods list then add it to your prerequisites. Then click on the mod you want to update and click quote,"Install or Update Mod" Hope this helped

Installation is almost identical with installing all addons to the game, some have one or two folders that require special placement but all have specific instructions for those kinds of particular differences. Oh, by the way, try checking the 'download' page before assuming there aren't any instructions, the darned website even has a full-blown guide on how to install mods and ACE2 includes a Readme within the download. A 'readme' file is called that for a reason. o.O

When you load Arma 2 go to Ace settings. Look for: "enable staying brass". By default is set to no.

Wow an actual intelligent answer with even a bit of sorry in it? I am seriously suprised, you know, this is internet after all. I'm no expert in ACE, but just by searching youtube with terms "ArmA ACE Installation" you should be able to find loads of vids. Try to look for the newest ones. Basically it goes like this: Download Six Updater, and use it to download whatever mods you want (including ACE). Six Updater takes care of installing it to the correct place, and keeping it up to date. :)

IF you havn't already figured it out. Do a google seach for "six updater". Download it. When yo ustart the program, just download the pre selected ACE files, and then you are done. Feel free to send me a message here if you need any suppot.

I have searched everywhere I can think of, but I can't find the info I need, it appears you forgot to mention what the sound mod actually does. Does it affect weapons? Does it affect vehicles? I have all of TangoRomeos vehicle sounds and I am wondering if they will be incompatible. Thanks in advance, love the mod!

Well I can't tell that, because that is wrong. First of all, mods are usually downloaded manually, and installed manually by user, by creating modfolders and moving files into them. This has recently been surpassed by the Six Updater, which obviously makes it easier and faster to install/update addons. Six Launcher on the other hand is pretty useless I think. Most convenient way to play ArmA, is to use a Modlauncher, such as Spirited Machine's ArmA II modlauncher :)

Perhaps you already found an answer but just in case, try to enable it in the menu before you start the game. I think is off by default since it's a bit of a resource hog.

If you took the time to actually look at any installation instructions, you'd see that this is a really simple mod to install. I might do a tutorial on this subject soon, if need rises. @Kristian1944 Sry m8 but 1st "I dont like slowmotion scene". 2nd I think it could be more action in the trailer. Maybe with a good A-10 scene and better cam positions. Maybe you can find some inspiration in real fight movies . thats my opinion but maybe i stay alone with it :D

Once you get it it's fairly easy. you need six updater and arma 2 game launcher, both can be obtianed at armaholics.

was ur smoke grenade a throwable or a one shot out of a grenade launcher, if its the latter make sure you use nato grenades in nato grenade launchers and likewise for OPFOR, much love
