Wow, the comms was amazing! I'm not so sure how it is in real-life but if I had to say, I'd say that it was pretty realistic. It was awesome when your gunner was like "Hey, it's not my fault!" over his radio not working properly, for some reason that reminded me of Ace Combat radio chatter.

If he starts to go down at that low an altitude and speed it's better to have them down already and not have to worry about them failing and be able to land. Also the game doesn't have too much of an effect on maneuverability with them down vs up at low speeds.

Evipicc well now you can do belly and skid landings in heli's, so he would be fine actually. hell i once bumped the fucking ground well flying and was fine.

It's a term used to describe his visual/orientation. When his view of his target (ie the ground he is trying to land on) is obstructed, the term "flared" is used to describe his current view. This easily lets his co pilot know that he cannot fully see what he is trying to do and that the co pilot should assist him however he can.

GhostMajikTV Sorry but he's talking about the missle-diverging flares. He calls "flares" as to let his co-pilot know he released his helicopter's flares. This can be seen as the flare count is getting lower.

In this situation "flared" is not used to describe countermeasures, is it used to describe the crafts orientation/visual.
