thanks for the answer. i figured out what the problem was! you need to disable the add-on to the game "Contact" and then you can change the type of ammunition in the tank that is included in the official version of arma 3. a subscriber wrote about this in the comments to the game in steam. perhaps in the future, the developer will fix the problem with combining the "Contact" mod

​​@MiamilifeVVV ( If you are in single player) a npc this is a person in your squad. He needs to be in the gunner seat to let you connect to his camera/pov. (If in multiplayer) you need a friendly teammate to go in your tank gunner seat and then it also works

But I think if you are the commander and tell your gunner to aim at the target and press left mouse button it does not work because on Tanks with a machine gun only operated by the commander you shot this gun instead of telling the gunner to shot

Yeah that why you have to change the tank ammo to the tank HE rounds. Or you could not have a gunner in your gunners seat. When you are in the commander seat you can shoot with the MG and also tell your gunner to shoot at a vehicle at the same time. Hope this helps

Can I lock on to a target while the tank is moving, and can the crosshair still be locked to the target?

When the tank is moving and you are in the commander seat, you can press T on any target you want to be destroyed. If you are in the tank with npc s, they will automatically lock enemy's when the tank is facing them. And the gunner will fire on them. Hope this helps 👍👍👍👍

Hello. Why can't I see how to change the type of ammunition in the tank when scrolling the mouse wheel? Do I need to change something in the game settings?

When you scroll downwards you are sepposed to see the different ammo types. You have to be in the gunner seat or commander seat. You also have to have a tank with different ammo types. If this doesnt work check settings to find the change ammo type button. hope this helps
