Tbh, Arma does what other games refuse to do, not only that they give life and importance to all actions you take on,just like the stalker games, you never feel like a badass weilding a LMG killing 300 soldiers, you are just a little shit who managed to Survive with the power of teamwork and guerrila tactics, same goes to the Contact Dlc campaign, you aren't a super soldier their, you are just a translator who learned how to use a Weapon that can transmit radio configs to the others, and why you do that ? Cause fighting 200, guys doesn't seem reasonable and you would die in 2 seconds. Or like in the laws od war dlc where you had to deploye mines for the sake of your Survival and your Majors life. Arma trully has something most people refuse to see beyond just being a badass kicking some ass. The realism and the lonelyness, the fact you aren't that important cause you don't have all the fucking skills in the universe. I think i like arma campaigns cause od that, not only it has mistery, but it trows bits of Reality in your face and makes you think twice.

@@pancytryna9378 Usualy kerry comes across normal Csat operatives ... Only at the end you can face the elite urban squad, on which they basicly one tap you if you are in the open... Cause the others are just counter insurgent operatives... And even them are hard to kill if you aren't smart...

Miller sus. Another great and informative video. Assuming you continue this series for a while, I'm really looking forward to the LDF faction and the First Contact campaign. The first contact campaign is probably my favorite of the Arma 3 DLCs and the LDF faction is definitely my favorite faction in the whole game

I keep running into this issue when i try to replay the east wind. The mission tipping point. After we clear the town the csat reinforcements dont show up and the shelling doesn’t begin and my squad just runs to the beach head and nothing happens

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think you covered the non-canon ending to the campaign, seeing as these events directly contradict Apex Protocol and the Laws of War campaign. I never got to the split point in the campaign because of my data file resetting and not being motivated to play through again so everything I know is coming from the Arma wiki page on the campaign

I know nothing about ARMA lore despite having 5000+ hours so, I beg of you V1Z. Complete the ARMA lore series. There is no good, clear, and fully understandable lore series out there and you've only uploaded two lore videos so far.

AAF didn't kill MacKinnion, it was CTRG. You can see their helicopter landing at Camp Maxwell during the intro sequence to Drawdown 2035 and your squadmates point out that there shouldn't be anyone there. They took him out as he would stop CTRG from extracting the east wind device out of Kamino if he ever arrived on-site.

CTRG attacked the AAF first which prompted them to then take out McKinnon. Source is the letter which can be found in the Cultural Property showcase

@@Gofaw The letter only says that CTRG attacked first, but it doesn't exactly confirm who took out McKinnon - his death only really benefits CTRG, and there's little reason why the AAF would've known exactly where and when to plant explosives to take him out, and also why they would do it *before* the fighting actually kicks off (his MRAP is long flipped and burning before the gunfire starts). If he'd ever made it down to Kamino, he would've: a) told CTRG to stand down b) reported some shady brits that shouldn't be there to high command. Then again, the fact that you're following him down the same route in a HEMTT is by McKinnon's request, as he called in for logistical support minutes earlier, implying that he might've been siding with CTRG, or, that he simply had as much intel as "something large has to be moved".

4:40 Could it just be that at that point CSAT didn't want to escalate the situation and get in a full scale war against NATO. Then something in a situation changed and they started the offensive. Not sure because I haven't even finished the campaign (I couldn't pass one mission and my interest dropped). I think I might get back to it. Great video by the way

A few things that would make this game the best are: view distance on 55nm for aircraft and 2nm for infantry and about 3nm for ground vehicleswith scopes, individual physics for all aircraft, individual interior for all ground vehicles and correct ammo for all vehicles. One of the biggest things would of been to merge both Stratis and Altis into one map with about 30nm between them for more strategic game play.
