Been playing WCS since early summer and they are the best by far. I got to take part in an event the admins put on where you rescue a Russian VIP and have to get him back to main base. Holy crap that was amazing and I was the only person in the vehicle with the VIP to survive and drive him back to base after getting ambushed multiple times. It was a gaming high that will be hard to replicate.

Operations on private servers by these communities are sometimes vs ai but theyre organized events typically. Enjoy the game, been playing since it was dead and good to see the communities get this big

@@gregprouse1173 WCS is against players, but if the player count is really low it spawns AI to fight. the dark gru servers are also pretty good, and if you are in the EU or dont mind EU servers, the Conflict in Europe servers are also pretty cool. just have fun waiting in those queue times or find a slightly emptier server

They didn't say mods were planned for ps5. They said they would like to make mods available for ps5 but need to negotiate with Sony first. Can tell you from other games with mods that I've been part of the community for. Sony is very strict about no outside assets and trademarks. Bohemian would have to set up a mod browser or use mod io to have modders submit mods to be approved for use on ps. Honestly, I don't think they will go through all the extra work to get mods on ps.

It's little moments like the one at 7:45 that make this game so great. Last game I was driving and saw two dudes in a Typhoon with busted tires. Stopped to offer some help, gave them a wrench. Sadly I forgot about supply so I went back to base to get some and help them get started again. Took me like 10 minutes to essentially do an uninteresting back and forth. The experience would be boring in any other game. Not this one. I felt great seeing the Typhoon ready to go. Pretty much the same feeling as capping a point, except the whole situation was very organic and didn't bring any ingame reward. We ended up following each others to the next objective and got blown up with RPGs. Fun times.

I like that Darkgru exists because it's absolute mess with a shit ton of equipment and clothing, but it's also... you know, a mess. specially uniform. so to actually play some fun multiplayer matches WCS is much MUCH better, and I wish there were more modern modded servers focused on balancing on coherent equipment for each faction. I just wish there were more servers, because every server right now has a full queue lol

I have over 600hrs on Arma 3 and this game improves on alot. This game will eventually explode with mods just like Arma 3 and when a game has 65k mods like Arma 3, it becomes pretty much endless content. Reforger is such a great step in the right direction. Now maybe console players will understand a little bit why PC gaming is amazing.

That part at 6:42 about the radios and nikita, is that just to let friendlies know that the net is compromised? Because my first thought was countersigns like thunder/flash but that wouldn't work if the enemy can't talk on the stolen radio. Certainly looks like a neat experience, curious what the actual TTK is like though, since it looks like a lot of desync armor and hard to tell how many shots hit armor, got absorbed by desync, and were after the enemy was already unconscious/dead

Only problem I’ve had playing W.C.S. Sometimes the server fps is a solid 20 for like 30 minutes with some packet loss as well but when it works this game its hard to put down and has ruined my sleep schedule.

I would love to see some more sniper gear implemented in the WCS servers. Theres only two sniper rifles on the nato side and one is vanilla. Not sure about russian side I havent checked. It would also be nice to have a few more different long range scopes, but the current scopes are fine for now. Love the servers man thanks for what you did.

My take for this game is very simple a kinda Open world experience with focus on capture / control and Back lane shenanigans however, I have had some matches for a local server that I play in (mostly for the hispanic and latino community) And once we had a wave of new players who did not understand Shit about whats arma about, Me and two other captains, dedicated at least two hours behind hour lines explaining how to aim properly, how to zero your gun, pin point positions (at that point we did not had the mod for seeing yourself in the map, you had to use landmarks, radio and your friendlies to figure out where the newbies where) it was amazing, After those two hours, one hour left for the match to end, we won, We started a new match and all the new players felt more than prepared to play now, that match lasted around four hours, it was Insanely fun, gladly it was saturday so i was able to play if not around 6 hours (including the training hours for the new players) The only thing I have noticed right now on vanilla is the rise of players who just dont give a fuck about teamplay, I am an admin in a few servers too, and i have notice how plenty PS players are walking in the open field, get headshot at, and claim hacks, a lot of players dont understand that arma and arma maps and arma behavior and the way you move around in arma is very different than other games, most of the engagement are from A FAR, same with Support vehicles, does that mean there's no close quarters pvp? or 20 to 50 meters fight? of course not, but the "meta" is to engage from a far, with squads moving in different directions and coordinating with not shooting each other

Most of the fights I experience are close quarters or mid range combat. But sniping is really fun in this game, you can be the difference of whether your team wins or loses just by putting pressure on enemy bases and picking people off. A simple sniper/spotter team can break entire enemy fronts. It takes a lot of situational awareness and calculations to be a good sniper. You need to constantly be on the move to avoid enemy contact because they will eventually find out which direction you're shooting from if you stay in one place for too long.

As the other said, Reforger is a testbed for the engine - which was really necessary in the beginning, let's be honest - and for gameplay features that will also go straight into ArmA4. To my knowledge A4 will be a completely different game, so I'm very certain you have to buy it. Maybe they give a discount to Reforger early adopters or something. Idk. ArmA4 was just announced for 2027. Knowing Bohemia I'd add a bit of more time to that. ;)

Yeah it's pretty much arma 3.5 The game originally flopped at launch but now it is skyrocketing in popularity. The devs have made some pretty good improvements since launch, but there's still a lot of work to do. So far, it's much better than arma 3, especially performance wise. The performance still isn't great though. I'm just excited for arma 4 because this game looks promising for the future of the series.

Yo Bro. Been watching the streams a lot while at work. WCS and Reforger itself has come a long way since a year ago and it'll be cool to see where things go in 2025. Destruction, Ranked gear, and in the future a power system and building bases free formed. I do think Official servers have some advantages that WCS has never really been able to fully refine and 3 things have always popped out at me. Namely Squad level spawn backpacks as they encourage squad cohesion and lead to individual squads needing to utilize Supply resources while now they really don't. This also leads to "search and destroy" or Hunter gameplay when trying to locate enemy radio positions and neutralize deployed radios becomes an emergent objective. Squad radios can also create more pressure on points and helps alleviate the "taxi game play" and jeep spam. Command trucks right now are really getting used how Squad radios are in official, and i think if you add back that secondary squad level layer, command trucks can really get back to their larger tactical use. Second is armed default kits aka "Mobiks". Many times jumping into WCS i don't really want to spend a ton of time dressing up and if i can just spawn in on a point with low ticket cost and basic 74/AR i can loot gear as i go. This also captures some of the feelings you get playing as a Scav in Tarkov. You are going in knowing you are under geared and out gunned and it makes the kills and success you have all the more sweet. It also helps with team identity. Lastly is Supply economy in general. This one is hard to balance around 128 i get it. But on official your gear costing supply and impacting your abilities to spawn, or having to choose between a full kit and a Mobik is a tactical choice that directly impacts combat effectiveness. Often i see very little use of supply depots and supply stashes used in the field at squad level and i would like to see more Supply getting found and utilized at all levels of gameplay. Keep it real bro.

Reforger is like a game of chess where instead of pressing a button and the action happening instantly its often two buttons and with it the pause between that and the action taking place leaving a lot of moments of being an easy kill. Also it not making it visually clear what is the enemy, I find that frustrating and immerion breaking.

One wheel require more than 100 supplies with 10 used each repair cycle to go lower one lvl in dmg severity. Sucks but rebuying them is easier and sometimes cheaper if you can deliver those 824 supplies that armed version can carry :/

Bought reforger last week and it kept giving me errors when trying to launch, did everything verify files, run as admin, reinstall, restarted the pc, even typed the error into Google with no results finally got it to launch by chance by going into the files and even then i couldnt connect to any servers because it said i was on the wrong version. Its a brand new pc 9800x3d 7800xt 32 gigs of ram. 0/10 experience

I would say the big difference with Arma as a "milsim" vs a tactical shooter like Hell Let Loose, is that the focus is on teamwork, communication, and strategy and not the individual FPS experience. Been playing since ArmaII, originally to play the OG DayZ mod but got into more milsim with Arma3. Glad to see this come to consoles, I think it's def filling a void.

I don't think it's possible for more hardcore games to ever be released on console, the UI and controls would have to be dumbed down to the level of COD for the controller, unless we talking here about console players that would need to buy keyboard and mouse, then performance would also be a big problem. Personally i wish we could get more games like this, Tarkov and more on consoles but like i said before i don't think it's possible.

There's only 2 sniper rifles in wcs servers on nato and one of them is vanilla. I really wish they would add some more sniper mods in like an m110 or something and some more long range scopes.

The game is fantastic but sometimes it looks like it's a game from 20 years ago. Laggy, buggy thing. Just played today a few hours and then loaded up BFV and OMG!!!!! That is the graphical experience i want but with the smart tactical gameplay Arma has. I play on the PS5 but it drops frames and laggy on PC too. Even the game disc size shows how much better BFV was 10 years ago. Arma -15 GB BFV - 120 GB The ARMA concept is amazing but they need to improve the servers and graphics a lot.

There are. Definitely not wcs servers though, they are some of the most popular. I'd recommend just hopping on the queue as soon as possible and find something to do like grab a drink and watch a video or something and it doesn't seem like as long of a wait.
