Yeh if they didn’t say a word about it that’s completely on them and don’t let them try tell you otherwise, when you get to modded servers you’ll notice a massive decline in team killing, some servers even have it disabled.

@@Stan_Ipkiss_SS you’re getting them but I’m not sure exactly when, the devs have already confirmed they’ve had confirmation from Sony with all the mod stuff and they’re now working on it but I feel you man I’ve played it on Xbox for two years and ended up buying a whole new set up and got a keyboard and mouse just for Reforger, still play it pretty much every day so say bye to hours of your life when you get to play modded servers lmao.

This is why I suggested on the forums that they either A make it to where a teammate name tag will show up at any distance ( unrealistic) or the more realistic scenario would be each player gets a marker on the map ( maybe make it smaller then the Sq leader) All the modded servers use a individual marker system and other milsim esq games like squad and even Arma 3 used individual markers

How would a marker on the map be realistic? It’s realistic to have a hard time at night and at farther distances distinguishing between friend and foe. That’s why communication is so important and why rules against perfidy are more built on practicality rather than morality. It adds an element to the fog of war and really stretches your knowledge of things like silhouettes.

@bladfadsfblaadsfsadf900 i didn't say it would be full realism it would be more realistic then name tags at any distance and it's practical since in 89' The US started using Satellites and GPS, granted the first "GPS War" was GW1 in 91' but GPS started being used in 89 in limited capacity and full scale in 91 And if you really wanna get into "realism" then take away the ability to even steal the enemies clothes because while it is possible, no professional military would be doing it in 89' because it was a major War Crime. Furthermore radios would be encrypted and a real every day run of the mill Russian solider wouldn't know how to speak or understand English ( to a lesser extent same with an American knowing Russian )so listening in on enemy radios by an individual solider would be out of the question.

some notes. be aware of where it’s most logical for teammates to come from, and be extra careful in those spots. also all standard kits come with binos. use them, eliminates all doubt. and lastly, from all distances, soviet uniforms in tan and their body armor make the player much brighter. so if you see someone in very dark, almost black clothes, at distance, it’s a safe bet they’ll be american.

Amateurs, the real way to play is to dress in FIA gear and get shot by both sides. But in all honesty, nice quick guide. I already knew the different uniforms due to being a Cold War History Buff but my quick guide to new players is: Green=US Yellow=Soviet Red=FIA (they also never have helmets, only caps and beanies)

Yeah it can be very difficult. There are very slight differences the AK has a bit more of a louder crack. It’s difficult but once you have enough time in game you’ll start to notice subtle differences. I wouldn’t solely rely on audio alone

The best way to deal with proper comms in Reforger is to gather a proper landmark and bearing, USE YOUR GAD DAMM COMPASS GUYS, ARMA HAS TOOLS FOR A REASON, you can even MARK in the map!!! Use the SAME color of your faction when creating marks, If you are in the RUS, Side, Do not use Blue markers to mark friendly positions, you can see in the option for markers a set of options as BLUEFOR, REDFOR, CIV, and OBJ, Use these to clear any doubt int he map for comms, You can also keep one of your members of the squad to DRAG said marker to wherever you are going, Leading , or moving, It might sound like a lot for Console players, or whoever uses a Controller, but arma is NOT meant to be played fast, Sure! Pvp and close combat is hella fun, but this game, even when you add mods to it, its TEAM FOCUSED, you can destroy so many enemy players, if you guys Keep your cool, DO NOT run in open fields, and take your time within the game. I promise , You will have a blast, Now if you wanna Sprint forward everytime, gear up for 30 mins and die every 2 mins outside of your spawn point be my guess. If you follow this sort of protocol with the markers, you can call out over radio a simple line such as" "Bounce BLUE marker, Friendlies in coming, CHECK THE MAP FOR RED MARKER(enemies)" Use your Binos, Radio, Map And learn how a compass Works within the game, I promise that many of new players do not understand the bearings! Practice with your homies and mostly HAVE FUN!!

Although I have died to more team members than enemies, I find it funny casually donning enemy gear on a base no one is attacking with a set of mates. Act casual and surprise them. Main concept is to look clueless when infiltrating. XD

The problem is that when your teammates or the enemy steals each other's gear it is kind of hard especially if they don't have a mic to communicate that they are in the enemy uniform

There's a lot of issues created by ignorant people who play the game. The other day, I was running supplies with a track. And, idiots they just spawn at the base while I was unloading the track and begun building stuff, grabbing the track with the supplies in it, and left. I mean guys... that's the definition of being an asshole.

I’m aware I called it the wrong cam as a few others have mentioned in the comments, my focus and the focus of the video was more aimed at looking at the differences and identifying US from Russian forces and knowing who’s a friendly and who’s enemy in game as opposed to knowing the official technical name for the uniform. Tbh the only time I've ever been team killed is when holding an M16 as a russian. I usually play as the russians tho and I'm convinced that the standard of player on the Russian side is usually better 😂
