@@timberwolf27 From what I've gathered, while it is heavily based on Flashpoint, its a stop gap between 3 and 4 where they are going to experiment with new engine tech. So i'd say its more like a spiritual rebirth of the series, trying to make the next big step for the franchise.

Bohemia Interactive was the developer behind the original Operation Flashpoint; at some point, they got into a pretty hairy conflict with their publisher, Codemasters, and wanted to walk away, however Codemasters held the rights to the Operation Flashpoint IP. Nevertheless, Bohemia did eventually ditch Codemasters and the result was the ARMA series; Codemasters got a few different developers to churn out some sequels for Flashpoint too, but it's actually the ARMA games that were made by the guys behind the original OFP. This is kind of why Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis was rebranded as ARMA: Cold War Assault.

After few hours of testing and exploring, and testing agin im surprised. In good way. This is start of something awesome and big. You made good work on this engine. Neboli díky, v Armě trojce mám přes 2700 hodin. Myslím si že v následující čtyřce jich strávím o poznání více. Těch několik hodin na to že se jedná defacto o prvopočátek a technický demonstrátor jsem si opravdu hodně užil a překvapuje mě s jakou plynulostí hra běží i na mé několik let staré bramboře. Ještě více mě překvapuje jaký to ve skutečnosti je problém nějakou chybu nebo glitch objevit. Opět super práce, Bohemko :)

As soon as I came from work I straight up bought the game, after I found out on the live stream that it is available to purchase on Steam. Apart from the lack of vehicles, which is understandable for day 1, I don't have anything bad to say for a early access game. Probably the best early access game I have ever played. It does. It's out right now on Steam if you want to go and check it out. DayZ benefitted massively with performance from the upgrade to the Enfusion renderer. This is the full blown thing. It looks and plays great. I'm getting 60fps with only very slight dips here and there at ultra settings at 1440p with a 2080 and 5800X. As they optimise it more that will only improve.

I admit I was not impressed when I first watched this trailer because it looked like just another gorgeous graphics showcase filled with pre-rendered footage and scripted animations. Then I watched a gameplay review and realized no, the game honestly just looks that good, and I was dumbfounded. Having watched it a second time I am completely blown away by how stunning this is, and that's not even getting into the long list of gameplay and QoL impovements! Congratulations Bohemia, you've outdone yourselves. I couldn't be more excited for the future of ARMA.

I have a 1000 hours in Arma 3 and I don’t dislike the approach of 2035. Just that modders just keep on making amazing things to keep us immersed. Hoping to see modders and devs work together to make a game we all love of serious fun.

Looks great. Glad Arma is still kicking. This game has so much potential. It just needs more commercials and people will jump on it.
