Armada: Erich Loewenhardt - German aircraft сarrier | World of Warships

The rapid development of aviation after World War I prompted the naval departments of various countries to consider the possibility of launching aircraft directly from the decks of ships-first reconnaissance planes, then bombers and torpedo aircraft as the characteristics of aircraft improved. At the end of 1935, a new aircraft carrier project was approved in Germany, with the nation striving to get on a par with Great Britain in terms of naval power. The German Navy's High Command planned to build four aircraft carriers. The lead ship was designated “A.” The ship was laid down a year later and launched at the end of 1938.

Well yes it would be great but it wouldn't be historically correct. Only Stukas until the Ju-87 B versions because the pilots didn't like the siren at all. Imagine flying over 400 km/h and hearing permanent this siren sounds. And the siren also predicted the attack, yes it scared the enemy but because of this they could easily take cover. So the german "Sturzkampfgeschwader(StG)" often took the sirens off and the sirens were finally stopped putting on the Stukas with the C versions.

Yes those are Ju-87 C they didn't have the sirens. The sirens were stopped putting on the Stukas since the C versions. So to have sirens you need a Ju-87 B.

@@ButterKatze-wb2fl Well originaly GZ had them , when it still had Ju-87s (the old CV system). So they are already in the game files and can be added. About historical authenticity- the game lost that battle years ago so why not.

Ydoum's Gaming Den they might not have Jericho sirens since it could alert the enemy to their presence so they want to be as stealthy as they can but would be cool if they add siren also but aa damage on dive bomber aircraft to make use of the back gunner on the ju-87 and swordfish etc

The video is incorrect in that the Italians did indeed build aircraft carriers, and progressed as far on theirs as the Germans did. Aquila was perhaps as far along completion as Graf Zeppelin was, the second hull being Sparviero.

he sure went for a different build than i did. i went for air supremacy, air speed, survivability expert, and advanced firing training. i also took secondary battery mod 1 instead of torpedo mod 1. guess i went for a secondary and bomber specialty build while he went for a balance build that cushions his weaknesses. not sure yet where the rest of my points are going. like the man said, i'm going to practice a bit and figure it out.

For everyone who asks about the Sirens: The Stuka version in the game is Ju-87 C. The sirens were only put on the versions untill Ju-87 B. Since the pilots didn't like the sirens at all. Just imagine flying over 400 km/h and hearing the siren the whole time. Not too great. And yes I would like it but it isn't historically correct.

@@Ryan-16 I can't say anything against it because it was not planned to put Ta 152 on the Graf Zeppelin. The project was cancled before the Ta 152 was invented. It was planned to add a Fw 190 but without sirens wich is logical to me because why would you put a siren on a fighter or fighterbomber

I'm actually weirded out why the Germans would have, at one point, liked to name fleet carriers with their men in the air than the men who had a part in the history of flying things. I mean I can understand Graf Ferdinand Von Zeppelin and Graf(?) August Von Parseval since they're the magnificent bastards who had a hand in said history, but aces would have been an odd pick, never mind that the Red Baron is a reformatted battleship

Because the Loewenhardt IS Graf Zeppelin. To be more precise Loewenhardt is the initial design from 1935. The GZ in the game is the later redesign.

Woe is the team that winds up with you queued in Saipan then... To make Lowenhardt work, play her foremost as a spotter. Prioritize same-tier cruisers and battleships. Keep destroyers with their heads down, but don't actively go after them until later in the game when the bigger guns have been taken care of. Lowenhardt is one of the better balanced aircraft carriers which provides a great spotting advantage due to its fast aircraft, but sacrifices some aircraft survivability for disproportionately effective strike potential during the late game. Play her like you'd play a bottom tier destroyer.
