Worst part, that ban on consumption of rare animals like pangolins was only brief and temporary as a knee-jerk reaction to the pandemic. When they "beat the virus" a few months ago, they resumed operations as usual and the virus was "inconveniently" re-introduced by "foreigners". Normally I just take passing glance whenever China is reported to have reached some kind of scientific achievement, but animalogic is straight up regurgitating a small piece of dictatorship propaganda right there.

Why is Chinese medicine such a danger to animals.
@noneofyourbusiness42944 жыл бұрын
Traditions die hard. It was close to getting to a bare minimum, but got sparked anew under Mao's rule. You may also not forget, that while the education standard in the denser populated areas of China actually aren't that bad, although there's some propaganda in the mix, but the further away you go from there, the lower those standards are. You'll get to the point where reading is near nonexistent, and if the village doctor tells them that crushed tiger bones are a cure, you can be sure that not only the villagers believe it, but the doctor does, too. Because that's what the previous guy taught him, who learned it from the previous guy, who learned it from the previous guy, who learned it from.. you get the idea. Also don't forget how young modern medicine actually is. Black plaque in Europe, devastating disease at the time, and people tried everything they ever heard of. Nowadays there are still a couple of cases per year, but we have a cure. Antibiotics. Couple days of that, and you're out of the woods. That's a timespan of a couple of centuries, while tradition medicine, no matter where, persisted for literal millenia
