LONG COMMENT ALERT! There's a lot of back and forth on this being a L'Homme Ideal Extreme or EDP clone. I think it's more likely a sort of “hybrid” in the way Hunter Intense is (that one is Sauvage/Invictus), but the way it comes across is more of a toned down and fresher Red Tobacco scent profile. I should have presented that in the video, the possibility it's following a Hunter Intense hybridization style. I thought about shooting something regarding this frag vs L'Homme Ideal Extreme/EDP being directly compared as part of the review but didn't because in side by sides with the Guerlain fragrances this clone wasn't really close. I asked numerous people while testing this if they thought they smelled close and literally nobody did. I don't get any cherry, I don't get any almond and if you look at Armaf's note breakdown of this fragrances it's stupid close to Red Tobacco. Notes here - armafperfume.com/products/armaf-hunter-killer-red-eau-de-parfum-for-men-100ml It's more Red Tobacco without the tobacco and without the assault of spices if I were to boil it down to the simplest breakdown. All that said if you compare this side by side to the Ideal fragrances and still find strong similarities then that's great too. As everybody always says, fragrances can come across different ways to different folks.

I have this one, it rocks, great performance and I got compliments from strangers the 1st day wearing it, but I think this is a Gurlain L'homme ideal edp clone, has the pseudo cherry, and you can definitely pick up the almond

I’m wearing it side by side with the Guerlain right now, they aren’t that close. I met up with a couple friends today and had them blind smell and asked if they thought they were similar, nobody did. I really think people heard it was a L’Homme ideal clone and ran with it.

Red Tobacco is RED TOBACCO - So far, no clones have been able to duplicate it past 75% accuracy. It’s in a class of its own.

@charmingchowder7997 Longevity and depth… Just so you know, I own the 2017 first batch. Some are saying it’s been reformulated, so I don’t know. Mine is an absolute beast in overall categories. I’m now curious to try the intense version. Though, I don’t expect it to perform the same, as this current one. It might potentially be lasting longer on clothing, being the main difference, due to oil content. Also, scents might slightly vary, but same DNA.

Yeh I’d like to see some more niche content given Ash’s 2000+ bottle collection. The main channel is mostly designers/cheapies/clones which makes sense because that’s what his viewers want, but I would love to see some more niche reviews/lists from him. 🙌🏻

Very interesting, Aromatix described this as beind very smiliar to Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Extreme. I guess it is one of those hybrid scents where it can remind you of a couple of fragrances.

I compared it to Extreme side by side and didn’t find it really close. That said this one doesn’t strike me as a 1 to 1 of anything. Had my wife compare them as well to make sure I wasn’t crazy and she agreed.

In my opinion and it can only be a personal opinion. I prefer Hunter Killer I recently wore Red Tobacco to a dentist appointment and stunk the place out. I could smell it all the time I was in there and that was over an hour. And not one compliment 😂

When the weather cools down I'm going to have to try these two on opposite arms side by side. Have worn it solo and it never entered my mind to compare it to Red Tobacco. I like the way it smells, it's just not in the same class as MRT. Picked it up about a month ago, maybe it needs to sit for awhile and macerate as well.

Depends on the person I’d guess. For me something like CDNIM is more a “twist”. It’s not directly the same as Aventus and isn’t even trying to be the exact same but it’s close enough that you know what it’s doing

Imo I'd class a twist as something that was inspired by a fragrance but is taking things in a different direction. So something like MB explorer is clearly inspired by aventus but its taking it into a different direction so you end up getting a fragrance that clearly is inspired by aventus but its doing it in a different way. A clone is str8 up trying to emulate an existing frag, for example fragrance world moonlit night is trying to emulate dg the one luminous night and not taking things in a different direction( intentionally)
