Cause like tekking said about 70 or 75% of his body is covered in armament yet when doflamingo kicked him he didn't get hurt but the attacks bounced off. Part of it is because of luffy being rubber but a lot of that had to have been because of his armament haki

@@darknesswave100 It might still be the case, bear in mind that in gear 4 Luffy uses armament to stretch his rubber body beyond its normal limits. This is why he is much bouncier and stronger, it is not only because of his haki but it's the combination of haki and devil fruit

I think there are three levels. Level 1) vulcanization: the black covering. The most common form Level 2) the haki push: the thing sentomaru did, hyou did and rayleigh did to the elephant. Using the excess haki around the body and pushing it out as a force push Level 3: infusing haki into people: rayleigh and luffy did to the collars. I believe big mom pushed luffy out of g4 using this. And also maybe sabos dragon breath is also this level of armament

I feel like armament haki works on logias by simulating their weakness. Logia weaknesses change the state of the user. Crocodile's weakness is water because wet sand is more solid than dry sand, letting punches land properly. Enel's the same kinda. And because armament hardens anything it touches it does the same effect on all logias by default. That's why it works on Luffy too, by making his body harder to make it less bouncy

Edit; I naturally assumed that Mihawk CAN’T cut diamond, but given what’s been stated in the manga I doubt he can cut diamond. Atleast not without Armament and it would atleast have to be one of the strongest forms of Armament. Also, I feel that the slash Jozu deflected would’ve severed anyone else (non-haki) in half. This is all headcanon though. We’ll probably never know what he can and can’t cut to the fullest extent.
