As a rule, I find that is true of a lot of fiction in one form or another. Characters usually have someone more powerful then themselves whom they seek to match or surpass in one form or another for one reason or another. Anime and manga in particular tend to do this kind of thing quite often. I suppose it makes watching the journey and improvement more enjoyable in a sense.

I agree that Whitebeard almost certainly joined Rock's Crew after a Davy Back Fight (just like every other member of his crew). a) They all hate each other pretty much so they need a good reason to become a crew b) Davy Back Fights were invented on Pirate Island c) Rock's Crew was formed on Pirate Island It would also explain why Oda actually went to the trouble of showing us the Davy Back fight after Sky Island: because obviously it becomes important later in the story, and Oda likes to set the stage early on. So yeah, I'm expexcting them to make a comeback soon, and this time it won't be all fun and games like with Foxy.

You are not the only one. I have been using fiction to escape from reality and to calm myself down whenever things become too much for me. Nowadays I find myself doing this more and more. I spend time focusing in reality when it is necessary, otherwise I read, listen to music, or watch something usually a comedy. Too bad we can't physically leave reality right now and enter imagination that way because if I could do that, I would have left reality years ago.

I recommend reading the manga, I've been using this site to read it (they don't carry it in my area): w16.read-onepiece.com/manga/onepiece-chapter-1/, I got to the Drum Kingdom arc in a couple weeks of reading, and I was only reading a few pages a day including SBS, and after not reading for a while I got to 156 in a few days. It does read quick though.

I just got an idea, when tekking said whitebeards Stash got bigger as he levels up it made me imagine that eventually black beard would start growing a white beard Stash THEN I got the idea of what if there was a devil fruit that allows the first person who ate it to take over the body of who ever eats it after the original owner dies for example if imu ,back sometime in the void century ate this fruit and then died the next chosen vessel would eat the fruit and imu's soul slowly took over the body I have literally no evidence for this but I thought it would but a cool spin on the who imu is immortal theory

The Rocks pirates consisted of Big Mom, Shiki, Whitebeard, Kaido, Wang Zhi, Silver Axe and Rocks all in their younger days. Roger was also a monster that the World Government had to handle. Garp, Sengoku and Tsuru were like walking nightmares to pirates. Imagine, being a normal citizen in those days. Another thing, Blackbeard is like prime Whitebeard now. The only difference is that Blackbeard does not have Whitebeard's strength.

Hmm. I think out of all the Yonkos, Blackbeard is the most underestimated. The one who knows what a real threat he is is Shanks. I don't think Kaido nor Big Mom is more dangerous than Blackbeard. Yami Yami literally cancel df abilities. Pull you into darkness & just breaks you & I don't even think we saw what it could really do since Blackbeard said it's the strongest Logia. Then he got Whitebeards fruit. All he has to do is just pull you in & hit you with that shit. Plus he almost broke Ace neck with a single blow. Awakening could refer to the world ending. Paramecia awakenings are always applying their substance to their environment. So with that logic, whitebeard could probably create quake bubbles anywhere, essentially causing earthquakes and maybe even something crazy like shifting tectonic plates.
