Welcome to Form Fight! In this series we take a look at Pokemon with more than one form, Pokemon with branched evolutions or even counterpart pokemon, have a look at the differences between this Pokemon and try and decide which one is the best!
So we can see these Pokemon in action on the battlefield, we also have a Metronome battle between those Pokemon - but just for a little bit of fun!

I really like both Armarouge and Ceruledge, but if I had to choose, I would go with Armarouge. If for no other reason than because it's one of the Pokemon I used in my playthrough of Pokemon Scarlet.

My favourite is Armarouge, I just find it much more useful in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I also just prefer it’s design over Ceruledges.

They are a great duo! Armarouge brings Stat boosts and protection. While Ceruledge brings Lifesteal, Damage, and Speed.

Armarouge is easily my favorite pokemon of gen 9 and was one of the MVP's of my team during my Scarlet playthrough which quickly made it one of my favorite pokemon of all time especially since it and Ceruledge both look like Megaman OC's which I love Megaman as well so this is just a win for me. Also I love Ceruledge as well, but easily prefer my boi Armarouge.

I honestly can't believe that they goofed the Shiny forms of Ceruledge and Armarouge so hard when they also gave us AMAZING Shinies in this game as well (Toedscruel, Cetitan, etc.); I would've been fine with a palette swap between the two, like you suggested, or ideally for Ceruledge, maybe changing it's armor to black Speaking of which, I'm super-biased because of my love of swords, but my vote goes to Ceruledge because it just ticks so many boxes for me -- it's a Ghost-type (one of my favorite Types), it's blue, and it's got SWORDS FOR ARMS, like, this 'Mon was made for me, haha

2:35 YES! Counterpart Shinies deserve to look like each other, every time. Shiny Nidoqueen deserves to be purple. Plusle and Minun deserve to swap palettes. Heck, I’d even think a white and orange Seviper was pretty cool! (And maybe a little unnerving…) And Zangoose would be fearsome in purple snakeskin, especially with the textures being different in-game these days. I would’ve loved to hunt for a blue cannon boi and a red sword boi. Charcadet’s shiny is still pretty cute… but that’s as far as it needed to go, imo.

Definitely like Ceruledge better because of design. Not sure either is that usable in regular play through (which is 95% of what I do in Pokémon). I know some use them in raids, but I haven’t seen them be game breakers there either.

Personally I’m using a ceruledge grinder n my playthrough and ive quite enjoyed It’s keeping up well enough despite being joint lowest level

Both are really good Scarlet grew on me more since for the most part has the better mons but even if Armorouge is basically Megaman and weak to Ceruledge the arm cannons are abit cooler and he actually has hands compared to Ceruledge edgy Sword hands.

Do I have any animators here who would like to make this vision? Picture this. Gallade and Bisharp fight over who will command and lead Ceruledge and Armarogue. They duel over the two. Gallade even Mega Evolves and Bisharp evolves into Kingambit. Not one of them wins though; the resolution and twist is your decision. Another idea evolves the pre-evolved form, Charcadet. Envision a comic or slide show on KZbin, where a small/young white belt boy has six rookie Pokemon on his team: Machop, Timburr, Tyrouge, Geodude, Charcadet, and either Mankey or Meditite (whichever one is more a runt/rookie than the other). This team is belittled for being little, but they prove themselves despite their size.

I have Violet so I grew so attached to Ceruledge once I got my Suspicious Armour, became my fire type since Inchose Quaxly. However, months on and I feel Armarouge is gonna take their spot since Psychic is more reliable of a type for me than Ghost. I just love Ghost

I absolutely LOVE Ceruledge!! The design, combat style, move pull, personally I love the Ghost typing, homie is a sweep!!! I like to use (in game) Bitter Blade Shadow Sneak Swords Dance Flame Charge Swords Dance boosts Flame Charge which boosts speed; now he is UNSTOPPABLE!

In my opinion I think ceruledge is better, as I value speed, and recovery moves more than defense. I think armarouge lends itself better to being a super Pokemon, or on defensive teams, while ceruledge is better at sweeping the opponent team, as it has a pretty good physical attack and good speed.

Ceruledge was the deciding factor in picking not only which version I would play but also which starter I'd pick (ultimately chose Quaxly) and went on to become one of my favorite Pokemon ever. It took the best parts of Chandelure and Gallade and mixed them together to create this awesome edgelord masterpiece. Armarouge is really warming up on me tho. I'm liking that one more as time goes on.

I prefer Armarouge. Psychic is my favorite type, and Ceruledge is too much of an edgelord in appearance. Now, I normally wouldn't have an issue with that, but when you're so edgy even your fellow edgelords don't take you seriously, it's safe to say you've taken things a bit too far.

I prefer Ceruledge. I don’t like the design of Armorouge although I don’t hate it either. Honestly I think it’s the broad shoulders that turned me off Armorouge when it was first revealed. They just look a bit too awkward for me. That’s why I went with Pokémon Violet. I still haven’t used Ceruledge on a team yet but I definitely want to eventually.

Can honesty say i prefer Armarouge over Ceruledge out of design preferences, being the first i got because i got scarlet, and the armor canon looking like a SMASH move Still the entire line imo is beautiful, shiny's not withstanding, seriously i agree it would've been cooler if they swapped body colors, not essentially just eye colors

These two are so cool; I honestly can't pick a favorite! I don't like many Generation IX Pokemon, but these two are top quality. I use them both on my Xenoblade Chronicles team on Showdown: Armarouge to represent Fiora, and Ceruledge to represent Dunban. I think another good nickname for Ceruledge would be Cloud (as in the protagonist from Final Fantasy VII).

@@Halberds8122 Maybe, but it wasn't just the Buster Sword I was thinking about when choosing a Pokemon to represent Cloud; it was also his dark and brooding attitude, which I see more in Ceruledge than I do in Aegislash. The Aegislash line gives me more "proud, kingly power" vibes.

Back when the trailer dropped that showed both of them I really loved them both. I was hoping that Ceruledge was going to be the Violet exclusive so I could use it and well I did! I love its signature move Bitter Blade. It really helps. Although overtime I have to say I'm not liking Armarouge as much as I thought I did now. Could be the hype within these two dying down or it's simply because I haven't used one yet.
