as a european, you can say what you want about the US and its military actions. but no one can deny that the service branches has fantastic anthems they are so good at evoking the right feelings, you can really hear the famous American optimism in these and the way they are different, but go so well together. it distinguishes them, but also keep to feeling of bing part of the same so good love and appreciation from europe.

@@chucktaylor1621 That's understandable, and we don't get the degree of"press" the other branches do. But Google Images "USCG --> MSST, MRST, PSU,..." and people would be surprised. Most people aren't aware that the Coast Guard was an active participant in every conflict since WW1. In WW2 we operated the Landing craft on D-Day, and in the Pacific theatre. Off the coast of Inchon in Korea, Coastal and inland waters of Vietnam, securing ports and vessels in the middle east, intercepting mini submarines trying to snuggle drugs from central & south America... besides the stuff we are known for. Petty Officer 1st Cl Douglas Munro posthumously received the Congressional Medal of Honor for saving the lives of hundreds of Marines in the pacific in WW2. Our people have come home in flag drapped coffins too... Semper Paratus !

Semper Paratus was rewritten a few times to reflect "the times" . It was modified for the Second World War to reflect what we did... sub chasing & busting, troop convoys, putting troops on the beach at Normandy, as well as being the first ashore in the Pacific to make sure it was reasonably safe for the Marines ... It's now back to it's original from 1927 I believe. Semper Paratus, PS2 D8 91-96

I got to meet Senior Cheif Williams and Captain K. Collins at their concert in Reno, NV, a couple years ago. I loved every second of that concert and can't wait to attend another in the future!!
