Wouldn't a lever action carbine be a better choice in 1899? The trapdoor was out dated even in the late 1870s. One of the factors Custer lost Little Big Horn, was out dated trapdoors. The Boer War was 1898 and they were using Mausers and Enfields and Krags. Love your channel.

gamers would use bolt action rifle and navy revolver thats pretty much the meta loadout. i on the otherhand use the pump shotgun and schofield revolver but id replace the carbine repeater with the landcaster or carcano sniper because they have longer range and better rate of fire the repeater carbine is kinda trash and bullets wont reach long range they just vanish.

I enjoyed the added realism of the shotguns and thought it went nicely along with the general more-realistic sandbox that the game had at launch, so I was fighting against the grain of people who were complaining trying to get it nerfed. Literally had a dude flatout deny any real examples I gave, refuse to go look up a video of a real shotgun, and literally go purely off of “name a game where the shotgun has range you can’t”, saying it smugly like it was a checkmate argument, while also maintaining he was a gun expert the whole time. When I finally replied with a link to a video of the EXACT shotgun he was complaining about being fired irl, that finally proved him wrong and obviously embarrassed him, so he deleted all his comments and messaged me to kill myself. Gotta love the CoD Reddit community. I’m a big time FPS fan too, but ffs people know the limits of your knowledge and experience. There’s a pretty thick line separating your experience playing CoD from experience and knowledge in the real world.

In rdr ii I just ignore that its 1899 or 1907, and act like it is 1870s 😂. Dual wield colt saas brass frame black steel parts wood grips, Double barrel shotgun, and winchester 1873.
