Coming from an ethnic Armenian, it’s important for you all to know that Turkey has been committing genocide against Armenia and Armenians for hundreds of years and it has been aiding Azerbaijan with its Armenian genocide as well. Armenia is sandwiched between two Turkic settler-colonial states (Turkey and Azerbaijan) who are trying to eliminate Armenia and Armenians. What you see with Azerbaijan colonizing Armenia especially in the past few years and today as well is actually genocide. We have lost many lives trying to defend what’s left of our indigenous ancestral homeland against our colonizers. Please bear in mind that if you become a citizen, you may be required to help defend our indigenous nation resisting against colonization as a soldier like many other Armenian citizens have and lost their lives, including today, the past few years, and for hundreds of years. this is to help you all be informed and to also make sure you take the word “conflict” out of your mouth. It’s not a conflict. It’s genocide. The Armenian genocide that’s been ongoing for hundreds of years at the hands of Turks to the left and right of Armenia who want to see Armenia wiped off the face of the map and who want to kill every last Armenian in the world. I am the descendant of Armenian genocide survivors. So please, when you talk about what happening to Armenia and Armenians, use the word “genocide” not “conflict.” Thank you. ❤️ much love to you all.

Don't worry, most people wouldn't want to live there, the people are very unwelcoming and like to give foreigners dirty stares and have no shame doing it, I speak in general only, when I was there I literally hated to even go out because of the negative attitude and marathon staring, I think Armenians are world champions in that. Though many were very nice and kind people, they were not the majority.

It's worth noting that Armenia has military conscription, so depending on your circumstances (and the specifics of their conscription program), citizenship may incur a service obligation. Which may not be desirable with Armenia, given its history of conflict with neighboring Azerbaijan. Still, like you said- an uncorrelated passport worth considering!

It’s a pity you missed Armenia, it was the country that surprised me the most of all of the Eastern European countries I’ve travelled to. Yerevan is a beautiful city that is modern, clean and safe, awesome food and the friendliest locals that are very hospitable and they love interacting with tourists and visitors. Also beautiful countryside with fascinating history and culture. Only drawback is that it’s landlocked, as a surfer and a yachtsman that’s a deal breaker for me.

You certainly couldn’t think about it being an Azerbaijani yourself! Everything you said about Armenia is false and cheap propaganda. According to UN classifications, Armenia is a developing country. Last year, it registered one of the highest economic growths globally. The fact that hundreds of thousands of Russians have relocated to Armenia but few have considered Azerbaijan, is a testimony to the fact that Armenia is a country of opportunities.
