Paper Moon is an episode I rewatch several times per year - Eisenberg's performance was incredible, and has helped SO many vets with PTSD who can relate to Nog in this ep.

As a person who watched Star Trek my entire life I’m just now getting into the online world of people and groups. Nog was my 14 year old sons favorite character. The day I heard that Mr. Eisenberg had passed the first thing I thought was about how hurt my son would be. It was like telling him a friend had passed. I think this definitely is a sign of being “a good actor.” As for this show the only words I can think of is thank you.. 🙏

Thank you so much for this. Thank you Aaron, thank you for giving a kid from a bad neighborhood an example in Nog. Nog was arrested for burglary in the first episode, he ended the show a lieutenant. He had ambition and tenacity, I needed that and you made it happen. With all respect and admiration Thank you so much.

He wasn't just a good actor, he was a great actor! He had so many stand out moments, in scenes with very strong actors. He held his own, in every one of those scenes. Rest in peace, Captain.

How many times could I cry during this episode? What always struck me was maybe TNG cast had all the silly fun, but DS9 carried so much of the heart that propelled such deep life subjects-- betrayal, loss, the 'dark side' of humanoids, war, recovering from war. I couldn't see such a profound multi-dimensional series work without this cast. The older I get, the more I love DS9.

I cried the day i heard the news. He helped me love the ferengi. But what moved me were learning about how he took on lifes struggles, how he didnt let them impede with his love of life, mentoring young boys not only in the skills of the game but the skills of life.

I've learned an interesting thing from Aron's life and passing because he had medical challenges he chose to live his life to the full. Most of us assume we will live till old age and live life playing it safe afraid to take a chance and unfortunately for many their dreams die with them. Aron's health issues freed him from the burden of that kind of fear. What your shows have shown me was that he lived a fuller life than most and that is everything.

DS9 was great because those who made it were great, but were too humble to know it. Aron was a mighty force that inspired so many. I grew up with Nog and Jake about the same age as me, and I loved DS9 all the more for it. Thank you, Armin and Cirroc!

Well said Armin Shimerman. It is a shame that mainstream film writers think you can't be cast unless you're one of the beautiful people. Talent doesn't know looks

Aron was a resilient, tenacious person from all accounts and through watching his work, commentary, and what's been shared of his life story. Thank you for taking the time with this to acknowledge him as a human being above all, and in other pieces when he's remembered. May his family have these in perpetuity to enhance their knowledge of him and the legacy of work and lives touched.

I haven't been able to watch DS9. I was shut down for two days when I found out about Aron, so I've been watching Voyager because I was afraid of the pain. Of course, the episode came on with Aron playing Kar, and before I could shut it off, I was already mesmerized by his acting (as usual). At the end of the episode, he said something sort of head on to the camera. I looked at his eyes and I started sobbing again, like I did when I found out he was gone. DS9 saved my life.. when I was isolated because of trauma. Nog helped me understand my PTSD.. and he and Kira brought me back to life. The show IS family to me. I love you all... and I miss Aron, even though I never met him.💔

My experience has been similar, although not as significant as yours. I found great comfort in watching "Progress." And as a special bonus, watched T7R's review of that episode, afterward. Perhaps you can, too. CNF! 💜🖖

What a lovely warm tribute and discussion guys. I never had the pleasure of meeting Aron, although I always hoped that I would if or when he next came to the UK. I had the pleasure of chatting with him occasionally on Twitter and Facebook where we both followed/friended each other and now and again on Patreon and he was always kind, friendly and informative. I miss him very much and think about him a lot but as you guys say, we have his work to treasure and enjoy be they on the show, here on The 7th Rule or his other works. He will never be forgotten. LLAP Nog and RIP Aron. Thank you.

I generally don't catch these live or I wait to watch full at a controlled time after they're done fit my schedule because I just don't want to end up bawling. I saw this premiering but I didn't the sound on or earphones and just made a generic chat post. Now have time to listen & Nice to see/hear Armin, to listen in spurts about Aron's joyful presence in people's lives.

I can only imagine how gratifying it was for Aron to work in a franchise where diversity was not only respected but constantly portrayed as a strength of any community. My physical differences are not as immediately apparent as his were, but I found so much healing in both TNG and DS9. The first time I saw Forrest Gump, I remember being so heartbroken at the end where he's told he has a son, and he says, "Is he...like me?" So much pain and shame in that line. Data created a child just like him on purpose and loved her not just in spite of the fact that she was like him, but because of it. The episode Melora also meant so much to me as someone with a connective tissue disorder (who would do a lot better in a lower-grav environment). On so many occasions, Star Trek portrayed characters who had trouble integrating because of their differences, but each eventually learned that it was their differences that made them so valuable to the crew. Even the relationship between Jake and Nog carried all the way through the basic idea that we can overcome our differences, and that it's immeasurably valuable to do so.
