"This is Kidney Disease... This is Life" - Episode 3 - Aron Eisenberg
We had the chance to catch up with Aron while in Los Angeles back in June, if you're a Star Trek fan, you may know him as "Nog" in Star Trek: Deep Space 9.
The Forever is Tomorrow Foundation is launching an ongoing web series that will highlight current patients, telling their story and how they have dealt with their kidney disease. With this series we set out to bring hope and inspiration to current patients as well as show that kidney disease does not discriminate in who it affects and it is a disease that is closer to everyone than they realize.
Look for more episodes in the very near future and more to follow as we grow our resources to be able to focus more energy on filming and releasing greater amounts of content to raise awareness, educate the public and support current patients and their loved ones with inspiration and hope!
The Forever is Tomorrow Foundation is setting out to raise awareness for kidney disease, while educating the public and giving patients a place for inspiration and hope in their fight with kidney disease.

As much as I respect, love, and miss Aaron, do some research on hospitals letting organ donors die prematurely, when there is still hope for recovery. Quite a few whistleblowers have stepped forward. In the end, they are for profit corporations.

despite how much good i could possibly do, i just cannot. already, there are bits of me left behind around the world. i just cannot condone even more bits of me out there, living on past the death of everything that makes up "myself" is gone. however, i would not be adverse to sharing bits of myself while i am still alive. perhaps it's the one aspect of myself i allow myself to be outright selfish in. i'll give it more thought, and see if i cannot get around this aversion. if aron's donor thought as i did, we wouldent have had a character that personally touched me as much as nog did. you see, i also joined the military. despite being in the combat arms, i am not the kind of person you generally associate with such service (not many computer nerd grunts, you know?) i also had a leg injury which put me into a deep depression. and to be honest, i've never really recovered from that depression. but, i'll think about becoming a donor. despite my aversions.

@@chriskoschik391 That comment is full of "FEAR AND IGNORANCE" and don't you dare accept blood, platelets, or organ donation for you or your children should you ever need them. Disgusting. And you're trying to spread that fear and ignorance and get people you don't know to also refuse to donate organs they will no longer need? Your mom must be SO proud of you. Waste of oxygen.

I didn't know much about Aron outside of his role as Nog. Since his passing, all I've read and seen are examples of him being an inspiration to others, a friend to any fan that stumbled across him and a fine example of what it means to be a good human being. I've been an organ donor since the day I turned 18, and I hope that when I go (not anytime soon, please!), two good people like Aron each get one good kidney from me.
