Nice review. I'm a big Armitron fan and own four analog models. I'm slow shopping a digital model and this one you review is a good prospect. The Gluck family that founded Armitron is headquartered 5 minutes away from me in Queens New York and Eugen Gluck and his wife who founded the company are a fantastic success story that exemplifies the "golden rule." Mr. Gluck recently passed and worked every day well into his 90s. Fabulous business model and a product line with something for everyone.

I actually like Armitron watches and have two of them now. The big pros are functionality. availability and value for money. The " cons" according to watch snob are size ( yes they tend to be large), Chinese ( yup. Let's be real), styling and quality. They do tend to be large. are Chinese and quality is great for price point. Whether they are ugly or not , that's individual. I love my Armitrons but my wife thinks they are ugly.

Thank you Matt for your tutorial on how to set the Armitron Sport watch and your review. I've had mine now for about 4 month. I'm happy with it, but I bought mine in a box store for close to 30 bucks. I was looking for an upgrade from the usual ones I use for 8 to $12 at Walmart. I have misplaced the instruction pamphlet while moving things to my storage so it was definitely easier to watch your tutorial. Thank you. By the way I have used it several times in the shower purposely to see if we would hold because I ride motorcycles and from time to tiny will get wet, but I don't swim with it, so hopefully it would last more than a year.

6/11/22 - Just found this watch at WMart for $4.50 Very classy colors - drab green bands with matte black casing. I wasn’t in the market for a watch, and not that familiar with the brand, but for the ‘close out’ price, I grabbed it. Readers might check stores for similar deals. Now I’m watching videos to get reviews - thanks for the publishing!

Watch is the truth been my work watch since 2015 only thing I had to do is change the battery work better then my g shock no lie

I have a good shock as well. 1 year later the g shock has a scratch in the crystal face and the Armitron doesnt.

Why does it have N, W, S, E?? Is it a compass as well??

It is more or less for decoration and to kind of give you a sense of where the directions are. I hope this helps.

I've been in an armitron rabbit hole for a few days now and have learned from reading comments that it is a 10 second repeating pattern. You could use this to manually take someone's pulse or any other activity that would otherwise require you to track a second hand.

You will have to cycle the menus and find the alarm setting. Then press and hold either the A or B button.

How to stop watch to save battery?I bought one from amazon as a gift to give it to my nephew two months later..Is there a way you can stop it ?

Bharathi Ganesan as far as i know, there is not a way to stop it other than to remove the battery itself until you give the gift. It could also be a defective battery or something. Hope this helps.

It’s not hard just set there and watch it as you push different buttons and pay attention to what the buttons do, mode button cycles you through the different functions I’m new to these and to change time get on the screen that shows time hold in the reset button until the numbers start flashing like I said I’m new to these but don’t give up!with these digitalis ya gotta be patient !

@@Manderson935 I have a pro sport Green with green velcro band waterproofing is awesome I work landscaping and always in water never had any issues I shower with it on hell ya it's great my bottom Left button is to set time /alarm date and a second press sets it love it

Unfortunately I did not like this review. I was hoping to learn about the longevity & quality of the watch. What is the company’s product reputation? Other then the color, what are the benefits and disadvantages of this watch? There’s a lot of opportunities to give us your thoughts that where missed.

I appreciate the feedback. I can use that next time. I have had the watch for 2 years now as my daily watch and it was a good watch. It took alot of dings and scratches and bangs on the wall from myself being very clumsy. As far as disadvantages I would say it lacks some features one would like from a high end watch, like automatic illumination, or multiple alarm settings. Hope this helped. Longevity and quality?? Dude, it's $17... you're lucky if it gets past 3 years without ending up in the trash. If you need a nice looking watch, short term, that you don't mind breaking, then this is your watch. For me, that's exactly what I need, so I'm getting one to use for work.
