I was there that night, literally right at the front! Was unreal, and a performance I will never forget. It still gives me chills to watch back now. Eminem was in beast mode in the early 2000's and his catapult to stardom was nothing short of epic. The tabloids couldn't get enough of him. You couldn't go five minutes listening to the radio without hit singles like Real Slim Shady, Stan and Forget about Dre being played. This is him in his prime, back in the days when he was hungry...and still mad. And it was awesome to experience and be a fan. I mean Stan. 🙋🏼♂️

Kendrick Lamar, Black Thought & Danger Mouse, Ghais Guevara, billy woods, MIKE, Little Simz, JPEGMAFIA, Danny Brown, (Kanye West) and many more. But of course there has been more good old hip hop, the reason simply being that there has been more time in which "old" hip hop existed. "New" is always going to be only a certain amount of time before the current time depending on your perception. So this is your answer as to why old hip hop is better: it's not because there isn't good hip hop being brought out at the same rate as there used to be but because new is always going to fade away while old will always stay old.

One of the most finely crafted beats/grooves in the history of hip-hop: a deep, compelling, well-articulated bass line, perfect drum sounds, delicate mandolin-like guitar sounds, the sound of rain drops, the sound of a pen scribbling on a piece of paper... This beat is unmatched.

the way music and artists can move you. the way Dido comes on stage, her sparkling eyes looking into the audience and Eminem hugging her. It's a moment that I never want to forget in my life! Every time I see this I get tears of joy! It's precisely because of such great people that I want to be able to travel back in time. I would love to hug both of them and simply say thank you face to face! that is magical
