Sitting here at twenty past midnight with tears in my eyes...again. This song meant so much to me since I met my wife back in 2003. We both loved Dido and her amazing angelic voice. Now I just turned 39, got divorced 4 years ago and pretty much lost everything and everyone I once thought to grow old with, after suffering from a burnout depression that almost killed me. It's been hard to realize how privileged I really was back then, how fragile life can be at times. Well, still miss those times, she will always own a place in my heart and I wish her all the luck she can get. Rejoice and let Dido's voice sooth your soul!

i think most people havent really understood how powerful the lyrics are on this song. The song "White Flag" means being in love with a person who's already moved on. She basically has made a lot of mistakes in the relationship,but she is still willing to love him regardless of that. While he has moved on and found him another girl,she still has feelings for him (And when we meet,which I'm sure we will,and was there,will be there still. I let it pass and hold my tongue and you will think that I've moved on). So she is pretending that she doesn't love and have feelings for him. She is pretending that she has moved on. In the end,no matter what he do and who he's with,she will always becin love with him. I've watched this video close to 1000 times over years and one of the parts i really like is at 0:03 when she introduces the members of the band. Just shows that she values them and deems them to deserve recognition. Then I like 4:52 when she decides to sing softly because she's realised the crowd is singing her song almost all in unison and it's beautiful ❣

Well, I wouldn't exactly say better. Her voice still sounds absolutely amazing (!!!) absolutely no doubt about it! I'd say she sounds way more honest during the live performances. Her studio voice - to me - sounds more softly and clear ("studio-tech-magic" I think). And it was that "softness" in her voice I instantly fell in love with- back in the early 2000's. Holy smoke- that look, those lyrics, that voice... If you find any misspells or other mistakes in this comment- you can keep them. Greetings from Germany
