Based on the knowledge gained during joint development of their recent titles, Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware seek to deliver a new action game. By combining FromSoftware’s longstanding expertise in mech games and their signature robust gameplay, ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON will be a new action experience.
In ARMORED CORE VI FIRES OF RUBICON, players will assemble and pilot their own mech with 3D maneuverability to move freely through three dimensional fast-paced missions. Take on difficult challenges and overwhelm your enemies with dynamic movements that make full use of ranged and melee combat. Players can enjoy a variety of actions that can only be truly realized with mechs.
A mysterious new substance was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. As an energy source, this substance was expected to dramatically advance humanity’s technological and communications capabilities. Instead, this substance caused a catastrophe that engulfed the planet and the surrounding stars in flames and storms, forming a Burning Star System.
Almost half a century later, the same substance resurfaced on Rubicon 3, a planet now contaminated and sealed off by the catastrophe.
Extra-terrestrial corporations and resistance groups fight over control of the substance. The player infiltrates Rubicon as an independent mercenary and finds themself in a struggle over the substance with the corporations and other factions.

@@thomask5434 If you're having problem with Balteus, try this set up: two 8-missile racks in the back to remove his shield and stagger him, Pulse Gun to help remove his shield, laser blade and assault armor to cause damage damage when he is staggered. That's how I managed to finally defeat him.

Awesome build! One minor quibble, your QB reload time is much higher than the booster’s number because your total weight is much higher than ideal weight for the booster negating that boosters main advantage. Otherwise great stuff as usual

What I love bout the MT’s is that you can see their eventual progression into armored cores. The BAWS Tetrapods in particular could be considered the bulkier non modular ancestors to any modern quad build AC

IIRC From worked with some big designer names throughout AC history, I'm pretty sure Macross (Robotech) mech designer was involved with earlier games. Some AC designs in 6 look like throwbacks to previous eras too, which is nice

Dual gatlings on a heavy bipedal leg setup was how i started my AC journey back in the day and its still my old reliable in this game. Love just how versatile it is and ive yet to find something that it cant overcome

it doesn't take long. this is how i got comfortable with AC 3 and AC 4. just follow someone else's build and then swap parts here and there and you start to figure it out.

This build really represents Cowboy's aesthetic, which is kinda fun to see. Many other people are proposing midrange reverse joint builds or tread pve builds, but not Cowboy. An extremely aggressive close range setup. Thanks for sharing!

I'm still working through my first playthrough,since this is my first time playing an AC game. And soon as I had all the parts I started using this build. Just got to chapter 4. I tried the stun needles out instead of the songbirds but I feel like the songbirds do more damage, it might be because the hitbox is smaller with the stun needles but I don't know enough about this game yet to know forsure. Wild. I'm 2 missions into Chapter 3 and I independently created almost the EXACT SAME AC earlier today (head is different and shoulder weapon is laser missiles to accompany grenade launcher). I also built this version with the heavy reverse jointed legs.

Been loving dual shotguns for their consistent damage and high stagger. Boost kicking into a double shot then whipping out the pile bunker to close in again. Most arena matches end in 20 seconds and indont think ive switched off of the loadout since balteus.

Haha great minds think alike I guess i have a very similar build as my main ac so far. Wanted a bruiser type bipedal I went with dual songbirds and only one gat, with the pile bunker. Fun strat ive found is on the non charge pilebunker hit or miss you can unload both songbirds pointblank absolutely nuking health and stagger. The pilebunker also seems to recharge very fast so can usually follow up on the stagger afterwards for added insult to injury.

I basically built this same mech except I just roll with the pile Bunker on the left hand with one gatling gun only. I use the extra weapon slot for missiles or a second songbird launcher.

I've been using a similar build but swapped the pile with another songbird. I tried this build but found I missed the charged pile too often...they enemy would either be out of range when staggered or they'd recover too fast from stagger for the charged pile to hit. While charged pile is more damage, I'm not convinced the uncharged one is, or it's very close to songbird damage. Between the easier usage (just stun and spam both shoulders) and ability to stay at medium range I just prefer the pure range version. In addition, it saves me 2 OS because I don't need the weapon bay upgrade, and lets me upgrade only the kinetic, explosive, and direct damage upgrades, which I feel is more efficient at lower OS ranks. I prioritized the defensive upgrades since this build is so offensive anyway. Maybe later in the game and if I get better at actually hitting with the pile I'll switch, but for now the versatility of dual songbirds feels stronger, especially since I can also stagger them for long range fighting. Either way, love it, and thanks!

Bit of an oddball question, but could you suggest a PvE build centered around the Stun Baton? I like the idea of a melee centric mech and the extremely quick cooldown on the Stun Baton seems like it would be a lot more fun to work with, but I'm not really sure what I'd want to support it with.

Terminal armor is for when you know you can win and you just need that tiny bit of help. It's saved me on boss battles numerous times but a hair.

Honestly, you’ll see better results the *Double Trouble* rather than the Ashmead Unlike the Ashmead, with the Double Trouble, you can hold a charge attack while the Songbirds/Hu-Ben build up stagger, its lunge afterwards covers considerably more distance alongside better tracking, and its Direct Hit is just as devastating (If not more)

I think this build works better with dual songbirds than one bunker one songbird, it does about the same amount of damage maybe a little bit less but you don’t have to get in close to hit the bunker after getting a stagger.

Depends. The bunker is such a great weapon against big targets and high impact damage. You can spam bunker. But for smaller targets, might be better to use dual songbirds as you said

When you hit a charged bunker you can legit end some fights in one stagger, but thats really only good against other AC's

I've also had surprisingly good results with the energy cannons you can buy in chapter 1. I ran basically this build but with the 2 energy cannons plus an SMG in one hand and a pulse gun in the other against Balteus, and just firing the energy cannons uncharged shredded his hp and stagger bar after you break his shield. One pair of uncharged shots before he can get his shield back up fills up 2/3rds of his stagger bar.

Just a note: Even though the OB reload time is shorter on the booster, your Total weight exceeds the OB reload ideal weight of the booster. So if you check the right hand side your OB reload time has gone up to 0.97. Just a note, maybe you already knew

I'm aware it exceeds, but in PvE it's rare we'll need to dodge super frequently so I'd rather take the other boosts and the hit to QB reload.

One thing to note: Those Melander arms came with the G13 "Tenderfoot" pre-order bonus. I don't know if they're available if you buy the game post-release. There are similar arms, but the standard Melander arms have worse Firearm Specialization.

Hehe "relatively low ammo cost" - ive never had a higher ammo cost per mission than i have with dual gatlings, although my build is a speedtank with dual gatlings, big vertical missile pod and vertical plasma missiles. Just got the game a couple of days ago, will try this build too! Oh and ofc i swap in the songbirds when needed, they are so good in pve.

I pretty much use the exact build except with dual songbirds and a minigun/pile bunker combo and I have to say dual songbirds firing both at the same time demolishes acs. It's gotten me through a great deal of the game, they're totally gonna nerf the songbirds.
