@rreckinreturns I mean they ruined the balance of tanks by eliminating turn speed in 6, tanks vs lw biped used to be great skill tests, now if you're a lw biped n you run into a tank you might as well just stand still so you can lose faster n move on.

I've been wondering about this tank player. He's literally made the saying "If we could just hit the target, we won't lose." into reality. Truly Epic. Possibly the best episode so far. Working with game engines n being a dev really gives you insights most don't have huh. If you pitched his shuffle technique to me I'd automatically think of a vehicle accelerating under inertia in a turn. The game does "sort of" fake inertia, so I wouldn't have thought in these terms. He didn't need to tell me about those plasma cannons though I can't really fit them on my builds, but when I want a shoulder cannon, that'd be my pick. Just for the shot velocity. qb stats affect AB strafe? I always thought it was fixed based off of AB stats, I know EN consumption at least is based off of AB EN consumption
@realArisawaHeavyInd9 ай бұрын
AB strafing completely ignores QB reload (as far as I'm aware). It uses QB jet duration unmodified (this is very easy to test, try AB strafing with Buerzel's 0.28 jet vs like NGI with 0.47 or whatever it is - the difference is very clear). The EN cost of an AB strafe is 0.8 * QB EN cost. I'll have to check on thrust values - I know that datamining shows that there's a unique dedicated hidden stat on every booster for AB strafe thrust but I can't remember if it's just set to the same value as QB thrust.

I've always considered the Trueno the "railcannon" of AC6, and no matter how hard I've tried, I couldnt get away from using it and have won many matches because of it (especially when its 1-1, I'M on Terminal Armor, and that last shot wins me the match lol). After watching this video, I cant run fast enough to try the Fasan
@realArisawaHeavyInd8 ай бұрын
If you like Trueno's range power, it can combo pretty nicely with fasan. If you have weapons in your hands that can gradually build stagger, you can use trueno to finish the stagger from range then punish with fasan for 2k+ dmg. If they dodge the trueno, immediately (literally as fast so you can) fire the fasan to catch them at the end of their qb before they can do another one. I haven't tested this extensively but I really like the way it feels in certain interactions. I think I like soup + fasan better because soup can herd people better than treuno can...but trueno is still my favourite missile. So much kinetic force, and that sound of armor buckling beneath it is just SO satisfying
@mohanrambassit30397 ай бұрын
@@realArisawaHeavyInd I appreciate you taking the time out to reply to my comment! I I think I'll take your advice and create a build specifically for both Trueno and Fasan. The build I am currently running is a sword and shield midweight bipedal, so I can only run either Fasan or Trueno, and after testing the Fasan out a good bit on A-rank, I think the Trueno is more my style with this build. And you're right, that armor buckling sound is top tier. I didn't realize how much I liked it until I read your comment lol. Thanks again for imparting your wisdom!

I have to say, as a BVO-style player I hate the plasma splash and bazooka spammers as you make a single mistake and it's game over. I also find it incredibly annoying when players rely on their heavy build to get wins rather than actively fighting (Like the tank spammers that'll just circle while firing). This guy though, he's built WAY different. Just looking at his gameplay, you can see that his skill is immense, and he might actually be scarier on something lighter if he decided to do so. This guy's positioning, how he uses Fasan manual aim regularly, his mastery of shuffling mid-combat... Not gonna lie, if I ran into him knowing his skill I know for a fact that I'm not winning, even if heavy builds got a massive nerf. He just has the skill that literally eclipses the worst aspects of tanks to overcome any opponent, and there's no way I can disrespect that.

@realArisawaHeavyInd9 ай бұрын
That's part of the beauty of AC as a game - the exact same motivations can lead two people to develop two completely different build archetypes because the pilot's personal strengths are a part of the design equation. Disc-Oh and I have like completely polar opposite playstyles and builds, they really could not be more different, but the fundamental motivation is exactly the same for both of us: We both H A T E dying to cqc. He solves this problem by being fast enough to evade it in all situations, I solve it by doing enough burst dmg/impact to overwhelm [almost] anything that tries to cqc me. It's what makes this game so great.
