Armored Core Lore: Losvaize

The famous Raven that stood as close to one can get to being as good as the legendary raven nine-ball. However there is so much unknown about this Norse raven, in fact their gender being one.

I feel her AC being called Valkyrie is suiting, given how she indeed guides the souls of any unlucky Ravens that cross her into the afterlife.

Valkyrie from Armored Core 3 seems similar in terms of valuing justice. She aids in massive Union attack. AC3's Valkyrie was notorious for keeping a perfect lock on you, adjusting her aim virtually frame-by-frame such that her lock box would always stutter on replays instead of having a smooth scrolling appearance. In terms of custom weapons in AC1, Hustler One has a rapid-fire pulse rifle and Mizuho Kamui seems to have a custom back grenade launcher? There might be others.

Hustler 1's Laser Blade is also unique, in that it has a darker red color than the one we are allowed to use, as well as doing damage similar or equal to moonlight.

Hell yeah. Truth be told though, I'm starting to thing that Losvaise is just a mistranslation of Rossweibe (japanese L/R swaps)

yeah it is, which further supports the possibility that the pilot is female. but then again its not like these names aren't their real ones, more so often that they adopt these names to hide their identities from their enemies. and given that Julius Emery from Armored core for answer is in fact a female, despite adopting a masculine name slightly proves that these names can be quite deceiving. Nonetheless I am one of those people who support the possibility she is likely female.

Yeah that pilot lady, killed me a lot of times on that mission. I almost felt bad how easy I beat her with the most expensive energy arm cannons (AW-XC65). Also what's with that mission in general, I would have liked it better if I could only choose missions from the good guys. I get that's the point of a dystopian world and there are no good guys, but killing the pilot who does the moral thing, still leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth.

Losvaize is a bit of a tough foe, but you are right those arm cannon clean up nicely. I get where your coming from however as you say the idea behind it was to show the player that as a raven your not really the good guy, your a person who does it for the money. Having morals is something that would prevent you from becoming number one and leave credits behind. In truth it is possible that Losvaize was exactly the same, she may have only turned up because murakumo offered to pay her a large amount due to it being last minute, otherwise she may not have shown up at all to fight the raven. But we don't get to see that side as such she is seen as a good raven for coming to the add of citizens.

There's always the chance that maybe in the mission review in AC1 they refer to her as HE by accident due to a typo. Also is she cheating now or what because I'm pretty sure I can't do that lol. 2:12

Her mech kinda resembles the Valkyrie Battroids from Macross/Robotech... which is fitting given how Shoji Kawamori literally came up with the idea of Armored Core, AND did a lot of the art for this game.

@@armoredcorelore Robotech Battlecry was and still is a blast if you can get past its defense-oriented mission design. Robotech itself is a mashup of 3 Mecha shows: Macross, Mospeada, and Southern Cross. Macross was the main show Shoji Kawamori worked on, though Mospeada added variable fighters specifically to try and compete with Macross.

@@armoredcorelore My advice: Stop after Macross Plus. Macross 7 and onward shift the focus to Idol Singers instead of mecha. Also Macross Plus is ART. Robotech is technically it's own thing, but you could give that a watch instead if you prefer dubs.

Ah no sorry there was a valkyre in ac3, but not the same person more a reboot and you could see the original valkyre in action in ac nexus bonus disk remakes of older levels.

I will say this very honestly I beat him in my first encounter and I just found out that he is rank 2 reven I was surprised I could beat him in my first time play and that without using humans plus except for the radar i really need that plus

I personally don't and i can't say i have seen any tuning guide videos for AC4 or FA.
