That trailer made me smile, glad to see the Armored Core series back for another round. This story seems a lot better this time around and the voice acting, as well as characters sound better too. I'm already impressed by the gameplay, I pay respects to From Software team and Kota Hoshino for that beautiful soundtrack.

Customization and online is awesome but the story mode severely lacks the stuff that made AC3 and it's successors awesome, even though verdict day had the potential.

I feel like this has the potential to be Armored Core LR all over again, story wise. The Ravens are a diminishing breed of mercenaries, corporations hunting them down if they don't join them, a big shadow group behind the scenes orchestrating mass chaos. So many chills.

What defines the Ravens. Former Military, blue collar workers, rich who bought their way in, and criminals...but all had potential. Pitted against each other in an arena but free to operate with whichever company we prefer. AC always did a great job of blurring the lines. IMO humbly Last Raven is the last game in chronological order. As it shows after years of bloodshed....civilian or corporatist scum...what happens when the Ravens (Veteran community) internationally grows tired of those who sit on the sideline and realizes our use is for the benefit and selfishness of others? This game is out-of-control good. It's a near perfect synthesis of all the previous games in story, style, and game play. Be warned, there are major spoilers in the story that you'll actually care about; so if you want to have some really hype moments you need to get this before you run in to the spoilers.

I just want a pc port for the mod community and to have an arena. I have a gaming pc bit play all my games with a controller and nothing compares to armored core. The hours Ive spent since the original jampack demo on ps1 through all the iterations. Only other game that comes close to time spent is Final Fantasy. And I only played 5 of those and stopped after 10.

well a few people tried to get a petition for it a while back. But no one knows that this game exists, and Armored Core doesn't have the same fan-base that Dark Souls has. It makes me sad, because I'd totally buy this game a third time for the PC.

***** Armored Core won't ever be made for the PC, because there's a stat/parameter called "Turning Ability" that has been present in every Armored Core game since the first. This single but very important stat heavily dictates the play style that your AC would have. Usually, the heavier the leg parts you have, the lower your turning ability is. Or, there are specific leg parts tuned for close range combat that have high turning ability, and leg parts that are better suited for long-range combat because of their low turning ability. The game was meant to be played on a console, using a controller. If you make Armored Core be played with a mouse and keyboard, this stat would have to be removed, and it wouldn't be an Armored Core game anymore. this Turning Ability stat is what makes Armored Core unique from other mech games.

ZeroStriker426 not it wouldnt have to be removed, you could just forcefully change the sensitivity for the different parts -.- just like most FPS games change your sensitivity for different levels of zoom in scopes or have a higher one in the tank MG rather than the main gun, that is no problem at all

ZeroStriker426 I've been playing AC since AC3, I know what the stats are. And turning speed is different to the speed at which the actual lock-on circle moves to the edge of its "movement" area before the AC actually needs to turn. You can still have different mouse sensitivities and limit the speed at which an AC moves. Plus, PCs can also use controllers.

kutkuknight if you're going to change the sensitivity of some parts, you might as well play the game with a controller, which defeats the purpose of having a game be ported from console to PC and to be played with a keyboard or mouse. having a giant robot do a 180-degree turn at 0.5 seconds because of a mouse flick is just crazy. And then people would complain that it's unrealistic.

Having actually enjoyed ACV as the second AC game I've ever played (the first being AC3), I'm looking forward to this. Hopefully there's a better story mode and single player, and more of it this time around. And I'm praying that the online community doesn't tank, so the cool multiplayer ideas can be realized and experienced. (Not that it was the game's fault in the first place)

Holy hotdogs, an AC game with english voice acting that's actually good? The song is pretty rad too... Also, I get that the plot intentionally keeps a distance because the pilot is "you", but the one thing I really wish that they'd finally give the NPCs faces other than just making your allies talking helicopters. AC1 came pretty damn close, and it had the strongest plot because of that. As for changing gameplay mechanics... Mechwarrior and Hawken feel ancient. I'm glad FROM keeps it fresh.

I'm pretty sure you're right. All of the games in the first four series are in the same universe just at different points on the timeline with For Answer chronologically being the last installment. 5 is the first time they rebooted it into an entirely different universe.

Even if that wasn't the case in the Depth Interview 4, FS said this is in the same world as V, but a century has passed since. So presumably the characters from V are gone. I'd guess that Carol and the Chief may make a return, I'm not sure they're human.

It's impact force, I believe. One of the hidden stats view-able when you press a button on the assembly screens. Nothing else besides that number and the number of shots that hit affect the chance of stagger. (Hence, why shotguns stagger everything)

There's ways to pull it off, but it's rather difficult. You can build a setup that'll support a 12-missile salvo and can stagger-lock the enemy in place to prevent them from dodging.

I seriously hope the mech genre is becoming more prominent, especially with the recent release of Pacific Rim. The Zone of the Enders HD got the framerate patch everyone wanted, Verdict Day is coming out soon. Man, my fascination for giant machines of destruction is going to be satisfied for a while. I need more MECHS!!! Need to finish ACV before this one comes out. Hope data will be able to transfer like AC4 and ACfA did.

I own AC4/FA/2/LR, (which I purchased after V) and can't quite convince myself to play through them yet. I still recognize them as awesome games, just too busy with ACV to stop, lol. I'm also basically buying a PS Vita for the purpose of playing the portable 3 and SL versions. So, long story short, I LOVE ACV, particularly the sound and art design. Also the way it handles. Needs story
