@@NoisyPixelNews although I haven’t played it, it seems like although their doesn’t appear to be much characterisation to the protagonist - with you simply going from mission to mission - that its meant to reinforce the idea of you losing humanity in place of the desires of cold corporations. Happy to see another gundam build. I’ve always tried to make Nu gundam. Noblesse oblige gave the perfect back part to emulate the wing. Hopefully in 6 there’s a similar part.

the Nu gundam one-wing can be approximated by using the wonderfully named SOUP missile launchers. i hope that endgame parts have more Exceed Orbit parts or just funnels in general

I'll buy it as soon as there is a promotion on it. Even if Miyazaki gaming skills can't be argued against, when you really don't like mechs, it's hard to start a mechs game. The only one I played at the time of the 1st ACs, was Zone of the enders, a far more arcade game. I liked it but compared to Devil may cry or Ninja gaiden also from that consoles' generation well, it just wasn't for me. Nevertheless since it's your game of the year, I have to try it at some moment. Thanks for the review!

How long did it take for you to roll credits in your first playthrough? I'm kinda worried about the game being too short.

I’ve heard it’s 5 chapters, several missions per chapter with varying lengths, then like in 4 answer, the new gam plus has new missions and story paths, so even after the credits roll, you still have more story and new gameplay segments to experience

it took me 56 hours to beat the game.

20-25 hours for first playthrough, 3 runs needed to get all endings/missions You can shorten up additional playthroughs by not doing every single mission if you want Probably about 50-60 hours to get most of the basic content unlocked, with lots of hidden loot and other secrets left to find

probably not if you're used to playing on the PS4, the graphics may be noticeably lower, but I think the frame rate should stay playable.

Thanks for the review! Out of the 54 hours of playtime, how much was multiplayer? How long would you say the campaign takes to beat?

The campaign can be about 40 hours with restarts. I play mulitplayer over the weekend for 3 hours, but I was just facing off against the same 10 people. I ranked up and the group was even more limited haha it worked though and it was fun. It’s going to be what I spend most of my time playing after launch.

Gundam Flauros from Iron-Blooded Orphans has a Quadrapedal mode for long-range cannon firing. There's also the BuCUE series of mobile suits from SEED, and the successor unit; the transforming Gaia Gundam in SEED Destiny.

What I would like to see is basically EVA-05, but as a canonical Gundam (or, well, as a MS; doesn't have to be a Gundam). I feel like to much of King's Field's DNA was used to make Souls for it to ever come back as its own thing, but Shadow Tower's with its mix of horror, survival, and a semi-modern setting is ripe for exploration.

@@SirAroace they are not entirely the same though, specially the way souls has evolved into faster combat and dodging. King field and shadow tower are slow and methodical by comparison. Resource intensive and interconectes layouts like the original dark souls, something that has been lost overtime. I think it is high time for a resurgence.
