That unused Balam briefing shared some similarities from some briefing styles in For Answer (not an AC fan, just saw some cutscenes because I wanted to know how is the story).

Definitely. Seems like originally they were going to narrate the game with the same briefing styles as before but scratched the idea. This just seems to be the concept idea.

Damn I wish we got more mission briefings like the Balem video, reminds me of armored core For Answer. In my head I can still hear the GA guy say "here's the mission..." Edit: It turns out the GA guy that says "Here's the Mission..." is the voice actor for Handler Walter. His name is Patrick Seitz, so every GA mission in the game has our boy Walter informing you of your mission. He also is the voice for Patch the Good Luck, and My Bliss.

0:15 Belius is pretty clearly Alaska upside down and Central Ice Fields is in the Okhotsk Sea. Alean Ocean is the Aleutian Straight.
