So, there's no second (or third) person inside the rear, ready to stop trouble and keep the first person from driving off with a van full of money. I thought Detroit was a high crime city. Why is a commercial vehicle used (this is what Amazon drivers here) instead of an actual armored car? People that try this in my state DON'T get away, they die or are arrested on scene and then serve life sentences, to be released only when they're old and their care is too expensive for the prison if they've got somewhere to die.

Totally a terrifying situation. But how does a "trained" and armed guard miss enough times that they are able to get into their car and drive away? The news story didn't mention how many shots fired. In those situations, the person cowers and shrivels up, or unloads in a blast of glory to either wound the person or disable the vehicle. They drove away...

Hitting a moving target with bullets isn’t easy and it’s not like what they show in movies. Most gun training involves shooting at non-moving targets. Cops can’t even hit moving targets much of the time…they certainly can’t hit a specific area of the body either like many people think. People have watched too many movies and think all that stuff is real and it’s not.

I like how "in broad daylight' is supposed to somehow increase the severity of the crime. Robbery is usually a daytime activity, whereas burglary is usually done a nighttime. Depending on who is being robbed or what is being burglarized. Most robberies are done during the day because that's when most businesses operate. Burglary is done at night because most businesses are closed. U can't 'rob' a store because its an intimate object. U can't burglarize a person because they're a person. Most people sleep at night. It doesn't make sense to wake somebody up just to rob them. Its smarter to wait till they during the day. It doesn't make sense to burglarize a store during the day when the employees are still there. Its smarter to wait till they close the store, then break in and steal, thus avoiding a robbery charge all together. A 'nighttime robbery' sounds so much scarier than one a daytime. U can't see as well in the dark. Armed guards are too sloppy when It comes to the withdrawal and transportation of money. They have one guy standing near the safe, the other guy taking money out the safe, and one guy in the driver seat. They need to have an additional 3 guys standing across the street or something, or at least spread out around the property. I guess that would cost the company too much money since armed guards are pretty pricey to hired given the recent BLM movmet over the past couple of years.
