No, you literally can't survive the last mission. During the mission, you're alone with dead bodies of Spartans around you and every time you take huge amounts of damage, your visor cracks. In the lore, whenever a Spartan takes off their helmet, it means they're ready for death and will go down fighting.

Mountain Dew and Doritos has become a joke with gamers at this point because whenever a Halo game is involved, either Halo ends up on their packaging or game award shows are so inundated with Doritos and Mountain Dew that it's ridiculous. In fact, the guy who hosts a bunch of game award shows is now known as the "Dorito Pope" because of an interview he did where he was literally surrounded with Doritos products.

The survive mission will literally spawn a never ending wave of enemies with limited health packs that ends in a cutscene of you aka Noble 6. Taking off your broken helmet now that it’s lost most of its power and functions killing off some split lips and fading out into black. Followed by reach several decades later when the plant has healed from being glassed. With a memorial to all who died on reach with with your helmet in the foreground.

There actually is a limit to the amount of enemies it will spawn, but one person made it to that point and it soft locks the game.

the game forces the cutscene after a certain amount of time, there is no escaping the inevitable ending of you dying by the horde of aliens, I survived that mission until the game just flipped me off and forced me to watch myself get killed in the cutscene

Fun fact, that "Jump off a cliff and assassinate an Elite" challenge mentioned at around 19:27 was an Achievement from the XBOX 360 version of Reach, known as "If They Came To Hear Me Beg". So yes, it was endorsed by Bungie themselves. The new Helmet that was mentioned as a reward is only in the Master Chief Collection version of Reach. Unfortunately, the achievement isn't present in the MCC version of Reach.

You can't survive that last mission. Your character basically sacrifizes himself to make the sure the ship with Master Chief (the guy who literally saves the galaxy every few years) on it can leave the planet. And once the ship left the planet the game just keeps throwing more and more enemies at you until you die. Halo Reach is a prequel to the other Halo games, so your character more or less saved humanity, by making sure humanities last hope got off that planet before it got "destroyed". Destroyed means that those aliens literally burn planets to glass, at least those with humans on it D:

You can't survive the last mission. They just keep sending unending waves of enemies after you until you die. At some point they send an alien tank in that is out side the boundaries of the level, while the normal enemies keep getting sent after you.

To be fair, IIRC you *can* blow that tank up. You just need to save your power weapons/have a ton of patience to saw through its HP bar with alien weapons.

Just for confirmation, "Lone Wolf", the last mission in Reach (objective:survive) cannot be completed. It continues throwing armies upon armies at you, and there is no time limit (as far as I know), so even if someone managed to fend off that many enemies, more would come to take their place, until eventually even the best of shooters gets overwhelmed.

@@carlweeks2399 yes but the record is officially (as far as i can see) 3 days before quitting...and you can actually glitch the game into giving you the same wave over and over....it does soft lock the game though so you have to quit at the end

If you're doing the achievement strat (easy difficulty but with almost every scoring skull modifier on) for the last mission you can last pretty much indefinitely, but it won't end until you die.

So with Russian and editing and not knowing about what parts are the game and what aren't, Badger has gotten a new mo cap suit to be able to act out the areas of the video where he's talking and walking. All things that happen during those sections while related to the game or Video games in general, may not and are usually not doable in-game and are done in programs outside the game.

That last mission to survive is not completable after a certain amount of time even if you avoid taking any damage of any time it turns into a cutscene where you “die” (supposedly a lot of theory where you didn’t actually die because of your characters backstory) so even if you do it end up dying or living throughout the timer it ends the same

The reason Jorge is bigger than the other members of Noble Team is because he's a Spartan II (same as the Master Chief), the rest are Spartan IIIs (war orphans picked up by the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) and put through training and augumentation to basically become cheaper, disposable Spartans.)

Thing about Jorge is that nobody could kill him with just a gun, a tank, or an air-to-land vehicle, so they had to blow up the spaceship in hopes that the force of the explosion would send him eons away where he wouldn't be a problem anymore. It is 100% impossible to survive the last mission. The goal is for the enemies to slowly get more and more difficult to kill and they start do deal more damage to the point where they are un-killable so you just end up dying.

Like many said before me, the final mission where the objective is survive is designed to overwhelm and kill you. Halo: Reach doesn't have something like "good ending" and "bad ending". You die. that's the how the story goes.

Can you win Survive mission? Well to survive you gotta sit around and keep playing until you die, when you die in the game you fail. Meaning, you can keep playing for hours and it counts as surviving, but it won't end. The level never says "oh you've been playing for 10 hours, alright you can go... NOT". They just keep coming the level never ends, that level is just a campaign firefight game and if you are playing a never ending firefight game, then there is only two ways to end it. Getting your head beat in, or giving up and quit the game. so... ya, mans dead
