Armourfast 1/72 Scale M4 Sherman Size Comparison

Take a look at Armourfast's range of M4 Shermans. In this video we compare them to one another and to a few other brands for size comparison. this may not be an issue to you, but to some...size matters.

Good review nice work. I always felt like Hasewega scale their products a little large. I mix a lot of scales, I'm not in any kind of competition or doing professional dioramas. The only person I'm trying to please is me. As long as they look in proportion I'm happy. A Roco 8 ton half track looks just fine mixed in with a bunch of 172nd 251s

Thanks for another helpful video. Any plans to talk about the Rapid Fire rules and maybe showing us your armies en masse? They don't get a lot of attention nowadays.

I like the Armourfast stuff, not least because of the low price! They are detailed enough out of the box and can be tarted up nicely. The British had quite a few M4 (Sherman I) and the M4 Hybrid (the composit hulled type) liked the diesel engined M4A2 (Sherman III, I believe the UK took the bulk of these but not the variants) and they also liked the M4A4 with the multibank petrol engine (Sherman V). The Brits converted numbers of all three to Firefly, I am not sure which the Armourfast kit is but if it is the same length as the others it'll be a Sherman I. The Yanks liked the M4A3

Nice review Ronan. I really appreciate these size comparisons between the manufacturers. Surprised you are not using the Plastic Soldier Co Shermans (as they make a number of variations). I've been comparing them with the Itari fast kits, find the PSC are a bit thicker and biggers but the Italeri make nice kits too. I know you like the Amourfast and, based on your recommendation, picked up a couple of Tank Destroyers, I think the Hellcats that you reviewed.

Comparison videos are great but I really like yours Mr Hayes. I'm into armourfast, Airfix, PSC and old matchbox Sherman's and its variants. I keep the matchbox and Airfix in the same units as they are close matches. I've not yet tried the quick build Italeri ones yet. Have you? I wasn't a fan of the Revell M4A3'S and might not bother with Hasagawa after seeing the difference. Keep up the good work. I would also be keen to see your collection and RF games.

Nice vid as always..jw are there any wargaming shops round tipperary or dublin that play rapid fire. Have some 1:72 armour and thinking of getting into it

Hey Jordan, how are you. The Gathering in Limerick City used to do it years ago, but I don't think they do anymore. I'd say have a look on Facebook and inquire with the various clubs. If not, we might have to set one up ourselves !
