This was a good trade for both teams. But beyond that, I am VERY surprised to see that Moby is working for the Blues. I follow the Blues frequently but missed this. Hopefully this gives the team a bit of a different angle moving forward.

What about Ryan O Reilly?? Penguins? Maple Leafs?? Colorado Avalanche? Or will he be extended because you don’t want to loose another Captain?? We traded 91 for two defenseman and 1st round pick and a 4th round pick that can change to a third. From Army’s perspective it doesn’t sound like he wants to trade O Reilly granted he’s had a serious injury not his fault.

I strongly disagree, tarasenko was a UFA after this season and they were able to get something for him including a conditional first rounder in a loaded 2023 draft instead of letting him walk for nothing

Honestly the fact that STL got a 1st, (essentially) a 3rd, a bottom six NHL forward and a low level defensive prospect while Tarasenko has had a gun to their head for over two years is actually more impressive than I think most realize.

@@Tegan4114 The 1st rounder will be 31st...nothing to get excited about. Blais is a 4th line player, a UFA after this year. The Blues just took him off the Rangers hands as a favor to ease Ranger cap space. Also note that the Blues are retaining the majority of Vlady's cap hit.
