It is true that you can become a sergeant in your third year and still get out when your 4 year contract is up and still not re-enlist. therefore, is it in AIT who do I talk to when the time comes? Is there a way I can get a head start on it In AIT or something?Can I do my college while doing those courses?

It's crazy how the name of the course has changed...It was PLDC when I went thru as an E-4(P) back in '95 @ Ft. Bliss!

My BLC was 1 week, COVID had just hit and everyone graduated early. But we did alot of cramming

My son a senior in high school signed a 5 year contract. 17 echo and got airborne qualified and was already given security clearance. He is walking in as a E3 should he skip jump school and go straight to his unit after AIT ? He was told if he does airborne he will be limited to four duty stations. Your opinion please.

Airborne is the way to go, when it says it’s limited to 4 duty stations is because not everyone is an airborne soldier. Definitely go to airborne school before going to their duty station

Prior enlisted here. If you need a course to become an NCO, you aren't an NCO. The difference between officers and NCOs is you can MAKE an officer, you have to GROW an NCO. all BLC does is standardize your education.
