I just graduated BLC. Class 02-22 Camp Humphreys 8th Army whightman. Let me tell y’all. Biggest tip I have for you is to participate. As long as you participate and know your shit. You will breeze perfectly. It also matters if you have good SGLs and class. Thank god I had both. I loved my SGLs and class. We still have our group chat and talk on it. That’s how tight we are still. Point is. Participate. If you want commandants list. Be prepared to bust your ass. That is competitive as hell. Good luck y’all. Yup, all still relevant. Tryna go to BLC this year and I got good info. Everything you mentioned checks out with the possibility of Land Nav and STX Lanes in future cycles. Got this from someone who just successfully completed BLC. I may end up having to be one of the 1st cycles that performs and grades those things in BLC. Eagerly consuming info to give me that advantage prior to even getting signed up, but everyone at my command knows I want it. Hungry. Reviewing all the fundamentals.⭐

Well 05/17/2024 is a day when BLC and DLC are not requirements to promote to E-5. As well as non promotables are allowed in BLC. Crazy world we live in. Anywho, I'm in BLC right now, and yes, I did my DLC and promotion board. Thanks for the tips, SFC French👍🤙

Just graduated. My biggest tip to you is participate. You will be graded on it. Establish that foundation when you arrive. I did as well as my roommate. We both were loved by our SGLs lol

Common, most the times NCOS and leaders do things a certain way because that’s all they know or just how they learned it, so it can’t be wrong to them. But it is. Army ISMs

Unless you fail the ACFT, Height/Weight and you just DONT do any of the work...it's impossible to fail.

Do you have to take an ACFT specific to BLC or do your two a year count towards it?

​@@christopherh7836i just got back from BLC a few weeks ago from Ohio, and it was pretty easy. Besides the presentations, since I have a horrible fear of standing in front of groups. Then the first week or 2 they throw a lot at you. So you're only going to be studying, which is fine, because that's why you are there anyways.

I’m going to BLC soon, not going to disclose any info. The world doesn’t need to know it. I’m prior service and the navy thinks soldiers are uneducated. Funny, there isn’t a BLC for the navy except for Moral and ethics which anyone can go to given the time and budget. I can tell you soldiers are educated and not what the navy thinks of us (since I’m army now). Let’s show the BLC instructors we aren’t just good looks. 😁

All of this advice is good but I just dont see anything that says... this soldier pass BLC.. he is a leader. These classes should be eliminated. Its a waste of time.

This is the definition of the blind leading the blind The classes are there to ensure that the soldiers who pass are worthy of leading LOWER ENLISTED As a Sgt (and as one climbs up the ranks) it’s our job to ensure ranks from CPL down are being LEAD and GUIDED and TAUGHT the ways of the army We thrive on discipline and structure…without that…it’s just a group of individuals doing their own thing…not effective for our country at all
