Yea. Don’t care what branch you’re in. Cadence calling with a dedicated cadence caller is the most fun, fulfilling and incredible thing to see and be a part of. Especially when not only the platoon/battalion is involved but also when everyone sounds great too. How could you not love this.

It's not that special lol. Lots of complete idiots and degenerates join and are forced into the military. Many more join for the free college and other benefits. It's a job just like other jobs. A seasoned war fighter earns his above average respect but every Jack boot sitting on base playing cards and changing oil isn't some top tier human just because they are in the military. Special Forces, fighter pilots, SOAR... a few groups are a very special human but the cook who did 4 years to get a g i bill ain't special. He's smart for taking advantage of the benefits. I have friends who were in the GWOT and they hate people like you who think you're some special person because you volunteered.

24 years ago I went through bct at Fort Sill Oklahoma. This cadence hasn't changed. I've been out for almost 19 years. I will always remember my experiences and things I learned. I don't know if I could exactly explain it. It was like one heartbeat combining all of us together. It reminds us of the conviction of protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States and maintain ourselves to the Army values just like the dog gone Spartans. It was a coping tool that when we went to war and we had to be in a subdued state we knew we were still one. To be fearless with a true purpose we March righteously.

First time I did cadence was in basic training at Fort Ord. The senior Drill Sargent ask me to lead the company back to the barracks coming from field training. I had the cadence down pat we were moving and grooving to the sounds I was giving out love it. I will always remember that. Go Army!

😂😂😂 I'm laughing at this comment, but it's true. Black people created cadences, so it makes sense. This is actually what's called "call and response", and it's what black people did to keep their spirts up/take their mind off of circumstances while doing hard slave labor (picking crops, building railroads, mining, etc.), and later on chain gangs. Call and response is also done in black churches.

Make sure that you look at all of the different military job options that you have before you sign on the dotted line. For example, they will pay you to learn a foreign language and become an interpreter. The military will fly you out to California to spend a year or two on the beach, learning a new language. You just have to score high enough on the ASVAB and DLAB tests for this to be a possibility.

Worked on JBSA Lackland and Kellys rooftop solar install… every morning and evening before clocking out I go to experience the live cadence marches from the day the recruits first landed to the there last day. And I’ll tell you one thing. Watching them from rooftops go from out of sync call backs, formation and marching to one unit moving and sounding crisp was phenomenal. Thank you to all the troops for a core memory as well as for your service.

What a flash back, I remember the first day of basic and I could hear the thunder of cadence from a platoon that has been there for a while and it put some kind of proud fear feeling in me. That’s where my son is now at BCT but got sick and is being discharged 😢so sad and disappointed for him Thank you for your service 🇺🇸

I believe that it was Fort Jackson SC. I was there this summer and that looks like my company.

@@someairsoft Damn. I was at Ft Sill and headed to Sam Houston until I encountered something called “Death Scan DEXA” which earned me an AR 635-200 CH1 para 1-16 subsection d.(2). administrative discharge, aka a 5-10 EPTS (Existed Prior to Service) discharge.

I mean its always been a popular cadence..It was big even in 2015 when I came through.. But I think people just pay attention to it more now since he put it out.
