There was a time we trusted Hinduthwatians and the bunias bought our vast fertile lands for dimes and pennies. It was us who always beseeched Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah Rehmat Allah Alaih not to agree on anything less than absolute separation of the states and nations. The Quaid came to our place 3 times for dinner and after the dinners and meetings my grandpa's baby brother asked him to divide the land as even brothers do better when they divide their ancestral lands everywhere in the world. We could've stayed in India if it had remained a democratic state of the empire. We could also have remained with India if India were a socialist state but we couldn't, wouldn't and never shall be part of any state where a hegemonic majority would dictate us everything from lifestyle to religion and that's what Hinduthwatians did since 1820s. And it was also our forefathers who took Delhi in 1761 alongwith Ahmed Shah Baacha, saved Mianwali from Kharak Singh in 1821 and took Multan from Molraj in 1848 alongwith Herbert Edwards. My grandpa took 120 fighting men to Burma when his British friends asked him to help them fight against Japan. And this is the story of every true Pakistani. We are a war fighting people and shall fight till the end of time and our land shall remain our land till the world remains.

@@Battlemen1761 Present day Pakistan's Muslims were the hand maidens of British. Before that they were retainers of Afghans & Central Asian brigands. Fun part is that before 1946 Punjab was ruled by the Unity Part which was against partition. The demand for Pakistan came from present day UP & Bihar. A majority of those Muslims stayed back or landed up in East Bengal ( Bangladesh) and are still rotting there. As for Jinnah or even Liaqat- tgey got Pakistan as a gift from British with the the main purpose of looking after western interests. You people are expendable. Your apocalypse might not be too far. Watch out. Just hope that you people don't suffer as much as the minorities have suffered in Pakistan. Objective of Kargil war was not Kashmir but Pakistan Army Coup to take power from PM Nawaz Sharif and he fell for it. Pakistan army has the tendency to think that democratic govt is a weak institution and cannot negotiate with India from a point of strength, so Pak army wants to negotiate with India from the point of strength. Article 370 was a temporary Article of the constitution of India which was to be removed after the plebiscite would have taken place in kashmir as per UN Resolution. Problem was that Pakistan never complied with the first conditions of implementation of UN resolution on Kashmir which would have led to plebiscite. On this Failure by pakistan, India had no choice but to continue with the temporary Article -370 which was meant to be removed after plebiscite in kashmir till 2019. India lost patience with pakistan which was also fuelled by thr cross border terrorism from pakistan. Further pakistan allowed Chinese construction under Belt and Road initiative of china inside the disputed territory of Kashmir occupied by pakistan. This defacto meant that pakistan considered Kashmir as its own part and not considering it as a disputed territory. Though on paper pakistan occupied Kashmir was shown as autonomous region. India protested against these developments between China and Pakistan on Kashmir. Pakistan rejected indian's position. The whole description gives a lot of insight on how the political leadership acts in Pakistan. I see a lac of critical thinking and people management skills in them. In a matured Westminster from of democracy, politicians learn these thorough their life experience, through their failures and successes, through the initiatives they take to reach their positions. In Pakistan, the politicians lac these skills because they are often parachuted and do not go through that grinding process. And when they are unable to negotiate through the minefield that is politics and governance, the inter-personal relationships eventually break down and the military fills the vacuum.
