@@Tairone1337No, not for tourists. These soldiers and horses are on duty. The tourists are on MoD land, but don’t seem to realise it. This is not an exhibition to entertain them and they need to learn courtesy, respect and good manners and, most importantly, to get out of the way of those soldiers and horses who are carrying out their duties. Would you like complete strangers wandering around your workplace, getting in the way and interfering with your workflow?

People do not understand horses, they see them on TV, they are large and powerful animals and I can assure you if a horse puts its mind to it the most skilled rider in the world will not be able to control it. Its todays attitude, ' Its my right to do what I want ' a few people being bit and kicked might teach people to treat these beautiful animals with the respect they deserve.

These horses need better training. I have seen horses ride in busy streets and have no issues.

@Tairone1337 do you know how much training it takes to get a horse to stand still for an hour while tourists make loud noises, grab at the reigns, or touch them? The entitled tourists are fully at fault here.

​@@Tairone1337these horses are highly trained and this is part of their continuing training. They have to be able to deal with crowds and noise out on the streets. They are literally the Kings Guards that is their job, that is what they are trained for. They are not pretty show horses.

@@Tairone1337 You have seen horses, wow, well you have obviously never ridden a horse, been on one that's been spooked by a car speeding past on a narrow lane, or someone grab at your ride. I have ridden plenty of horses I also grew up around Epsom downs, always seeing horses and you soon learn not to take liberties even with the calmest and well trained horse. The Kings horses have excellent training unfortunately ' Blithering Idiots ' are something you cannot totally train for.

There is no need to let people stand within arms reach of the horses..if they stand six feet in front of the horses it would look in the photo or video as if they were right beside them and it would cut down on the amount of "harrassment" the guards have to endure..common sense isnt a common trait anymore

Good for John...I saw the video during the break...but it disappeared so I cannot retrieve it. Disgusting twins at work and they don't even blink an eye when confronted. Stick to John's videos and the Kings Guard site and check your videos out as well to see who you are dealing with. Hope they find those horrible 2 and jail then or deport if need be.

The police horses are trained for crowd control. The guards' horses not so much, hence they can be spooked more easily.
