when using the mold do you need to spray some sort of release before pouring to make sure it releases?
@mathkor89Ай бұрын
using a mold release will help prolong the life of your mold, although its a necessity when casting silicone on silicone so it doesn't bond to itself.

Interesting video. I much like it. I suggest to use a vibrator table (vibrator+ table as simple as sounds) to release all possible bubbles). I wonder what is the difference between synthetic glue and silicon because it could be an earning plus only buying the catalyzer. Another question is if we can use another compound like traditional escayola plaster? Probably it would reduce the cost of the statues.
@Jezzer20142 ай бұрын
Thank you for this. Have you made larger items with this method? I am wondering whether the weight of the casting material might distort the silicone mould, unless it is supported by some rigid structure. How have you dealt with this issue?
@ArnabLHT2 ай бұрын
Need to make a strong holder for it. something like a wooden structure for big-size casting.

No Need to measure it, just make a thick paste with pop or stone powder. You can use them separately, but stone powder is stronger than POP.
