Wrong strategic move. Or are they just being greedy??? Either way MARS usp is low price good quality. I will never pay anything more than 300-400₹ for Mars brand. If I have to pay more I will go for Kay beauty , Elf, MAC and even Charlotte Tilbury but never Mars. They need to understand their strengths and customer demographics.

Actually the price difference between mars God's glow primer and insight radiance filter is due to the quantity of product as mars is 30ml whereas insight is only 11 grams. If you compare mars to elf , elf is almost double in price but quantity being the same. But that is true mars has increased the prices

I think it's ok for them to increase the price to some extent like under 1k. As they have been killing it with their products since a long time and if we see from a company's perspective, they too deserve the money for the product and the quality they are giving.

the price change is SO DRASTIC like from everything under 350 to a primer/foundation for 900 this will led in them loosing a good chunk of their customer range, who are the biggest fans of mars because of the amazing quality in lower prices. idk why they thought these prices are good for their brand range overall :( i’d rather buy a l’oreal or kay beauty foundation at this price point tbh

So true! The whole appeal of Mars was its ability to dominate the price-sensitive market. Making such a sudden and extreme shift will only harm the brand and do little to no good. If they really wanted to tap into a different market, introducing a sister brand would have been a smarter move. People are obsessed with Mars because it delivers quality at the best price. Stripping away the core of what makes the brand unique is bound to be disastrous.

So people are ok with buying elf and Charlotte Tilbury but if Mars creates a dupe with just 900 (which is of good quality as well almost similar to high end) thats suddenly expensive and priced like high end and people go buy CT lipstick and Mac and huda. If you find it so basic why not question CT and elf ? Elf is 1750 almost double the Mars one

Elf and CT are already expensive and HIGH End and they have established their brand that way. While Mars products fall in 350 category which a lot of students buy or people with a low budget for makeup. It’s okay to raise their prices they can do what they like but as their consumers aren’t someone who buys expensive products suddenly a 900 price hike is a lot . Maybe not for us because we are privileged but not everyone can spend that much on makeup and Mars was a stable brand that gave good quality with affordable prices. That’s why the question arises. If Elf starts to price their products like CT people will question that too. What’s the fault in that ?

With this logic Mars should have kept their glow o Clock Primer price as 3000 too because it's like the Milk Hydra Grip Primer. When a brand that usually sells makeup under 300 raises their price to 900 ofc it's a question that's to be asked.

I think you got your Math wrong. The elf filter is 1750 which is almost twice the price of the Mars product. The insight product has one-third the amount of product that Mars has. @ Elf goes on sales for pink Friday sales buy1get1 for 10 days. The regular price does not fall under 1300 though. That way the Mars product is yet to go on sale. But Thankyou for responding gracefully and I see her point too but still does not add up. People don’t mind using 3k for a Mac lipstick but if an Indian company is trying to grow we look at their devious intentions. Everybody is doing business at the end of the day. Mars packaging is not lux. It’s cheap. Mars white labels china made products and don’t even have consistency between the packaging design of their products. Random chinese products with MARS label on it… cheap stuff now pretending to be expensive. Also Swiss beauty does this. Cheap Chinese products with only label stamped on it. And u guys gush over it as though Mars is doing research, designing product and formula and getting it manufactured. lol With companies like these being hyped up no wonder make in India was a failure

Feedback well taken on the quantity of the Illuminator. Although the assumption was base product would be used in larger quantity, maybe in future smaller packs could be introduced.If you compare it with ELF, it’s still half the price ELF is. For Artistry, our target is professional bridal usage. While we would want to control costs as much as possible, it is still sometimes not in our control. That been said , we have had higher priced products such as Palettes and Brush Sets delivering the performance that is expected of us. Our intention with these is the same.
