Alisson is the outstanding goalkeeper. Liverpool always manage well enough while he recharges. If he has to miss a handful of games per season, I can live with it

I love Alisson and I think he’s the best prem league Gk Liverpool have ever had. But he’s not quite durable lately. He’s got this lil niggles every now and then and tends to miss big chunks of games. The first major one was him trying to take a goal kick against Norwich and messed up his calf and we ended up having Adrian in goal for quite some time. When we played against Atleti right before the pandemic shutdown everything I’m convinced we’d have advanced if Alisson was playing. Last season he got injured a day before the brentford game and Kelleher played a lot of games and did really well. That’s the only problem I have with him. Perhaps he’s got to modify his training methods, loads etc? He’s not a young buck anymore. I’m not sure about stats but I’m sure he’s probably right up there amongst the Gkers who miss big chucks of games in the prem. It’s frustrating to be honest and if Liverpool are going to challenge for big trophies this season then Slot needs his best players available.
