That's funny we have that saying too. See which one fills up first. Haha My grandmother was a no nonsense lady, tough lady, but we knew we were loved. My best life lessons were learned with her. I miss her everyday! Thank you for sharing your memories and lives. The pokemon shenanigans were hilarious.

the saying about "wishing in one hand", we say that in America too....both my grandmothers, my mom, my dad and my paternal grandfather told me that when i was a kid...also, i believe in the second "Grumpy Old Men" movies with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, the actor Burgess Meredith said that line....hearing a really old man say that was histerical, but very true
@dbledniСағат бұрын
Oh my goodness! I thought this was just an American saying from 2 generations ago! I didn’t think Europeans would say such crass things! 😂 No, not really - but it was fun to hear you both labor over repeating it! 😂 Merry Christmas 🎄🎁!

Oh, you two!! 🥰 🤣😂🤣😂 The margarine vs butter is mostly due to cist , as Carlos mentioned. But, butter performs differently in baking, causing the slouch sides. If you use half of each, it performs better in baking and you still get the flavor from the butter. There is a lovely photo about cookies baked with all butter, all shortening, all margarine, then half margarine/half butter. It really changes the end result. We do the ribbon curling, too. The plant is lovely wrapped in moss! The sweaters are so beautiful!! Congratulations to the winner!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 🦌🦌🦌🦌🛷🎅❄️🎄❄️

Oh my goodness. Carlos said “tummetott” my grandmother used to do a finger game with us. Tummetott, slickipott, langeman, gullebran. Lilla Petter Spelmann. (That is all spelled incorrectly I’m sure, just phonetically the way I recall it), I have not thought about this for years when i taught it to my granddaughter. Thank you for this lovely memory on third Sunday of Advent.

Rolling Stones..."You can't always get what you want........ Your grandmother's saying is new to me. I don't think I will be using it though. My grand furry children love everything they get! The thumb print cookies sound soooooo good! You put them on a cooling rack! Butter only!!! I love my KerryGold! Margarine is like plastic. I love all the sweaters! You can do a yoke of Antarctic animals and plain for the rest of the sweater. Well I got the answer correct but alas not a winner. I bought the patterns before the contest Having free yarn would be nice though.
