I live in Superior and have walked this trail often. You can come in through the other end and it is stunningly beautiful too, especially when the cottonwoods are in full leaf. There are places where the water goes underground for the warmer parts of the year, but it pops back above ground in places. He is right - the variety of plant life here is amazing. I love this trail.

I HATE graffiti. I used to live in Kingman when I was a kid back in 66. There were a lot of canyons I would hike with springs way back in. This takes me back.

This area is seriously one of the most beautiful and unique natural environments in the USA. It is such a shame it is managed so POORLY. It’s a tinderbox that’s waiting to blow up in fire again because red brome blankets the ground everywhere. It’s so sad
@Wilderness-Will9 ай бұрын
The Telegraph Fire really did a number on the land around Picketpost. Friends of Tonto does a lot of trash pickups and invasive species pulls- do you know if they’ve ever done any work over there?
@MooreToLifeOutdoors10 ай бұрын
Nice job. We did the Loop back in the Fall. Arnett Canyon was amazing. Especially since we didn't know it was there. We went counterclockwise and so we went through the desert areas first. Then dropped into telegraph and then into Arnett. It was amazing.

How long is the loop?
@MooreToLifeOutdoors10 ай бұрын
@daynamcgrady6625 it was about 8 miles for the whole loop. It's an amazing hike. We will be posting our video soon.
@Wilderness-Will10 ай бұрын
Sounds like you had a great time! The full loop is awesome, but I prefer doing Arnett Canyon as an out & back just because it nets you more time in the woods. Thank you for watching!
@Wilderness-Will10 ай бұрын
@@daynamcgrady6625 The full loop's a little over eight miles long; the terrain's a bit rougher on the south side of the canyon though. The Alltrails routes for both Arnett Canyon and the full Picketpost loop are in the description of this video!

The water you found was left by trail angels for the Arizona Trail through hikers. There is so little water along that section the angels help out.
