Your situation, your perspective, I see is very different and I understand a bit why from what you write. As for your son, yea you are right, there are many physically demanding sports that are not as dangerous when it comes to possible injury . I did martial arts growing up but our Sensei was very good at keeping beginners safe. He also always told us everything is for defense and so on, if he heard anyone would misbehave he said he would kick us from class. But this was outside of school, dont know what to tell you about the school system Im not even from the US. I do believe however that kids do need sports, to burn some energy in a productive way. It just means he was a ball hog who was stripping the chance for success from the rest of the team. These videos are good motivation, and I really do love most of the talking points, but it is definitely one sided and we as a civilization are not there yet for everyone to succeed... even if they keep picking themselves up. In these speeches, the sample size of all motivational speakers is "rich and famous only." I'm sure things seem like they can be done just with hard work. The truth is, it requires the help from others (team work) as Arnold argues with "the self made man" speech... risk taking, and a strong hint of both charisma and luck. Although the more chances you take, you can counter what we assume is luck. The harder you work on image and building character, you can become charismatic.

My notes from this video, which I think are worth sharing. •Out work everyone. •Have a goal, a VISION! •Sleep faster! (Increase the quality of your sleep!) •Fall in love with the process ("don't start counting until it hurts") •Work your was off. Hard work beats talent every time! However don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to what you could be! •Plan B is a distraction. Focus, focus, FOCUS. Focus activates your RAS and makes your mind like a heat seaking missile after your goals and you'll see things you would've otherwise missed. Focus comes from Clarity and consistency. •You're more likely to succeed at only having plan A. Plan B detracts from plan A. More people fail from generalizing and spreading their focus, than what people do from focusing and specialising in one area. •Keep moving forward. You will 'fail' ("you will get knocked down but whoever stays down is a loser, winners get back up") •Relax! Relax, relax, relax.. it's ok to fail :)

@lukeoutcold71875 жыл бұрын
@@filipvadas7602 Sometimes it isn't the case but many times gifted individuals fail and never climb back up because they didn't work as hard, i mean how many times do we see tremendously gifted athletes fail and disappear because they didn't put in the work and how many times have we seen people not as talented or gifted succeed because they worked as hard as they could. I'm not saying it happens all the time but you can't count out hard work, not matter how untalented you are you only fail and stay down if you're not willing to work and climb back up.
@filipvadas76025 жыл бұрын
@@lukeoutcold7187 sometimes its just plain pointless, sometimes you have time and money but because you dont have talent you're doomed to fail over and over. So dont try to pass it off like hard work gets you anwhere. " Hard work" is pointless shit that only lets you know how pathetic and worthless you are in the end, it only leads to DISAPPOINTMENT.
@lukeoutcold71875 жыл бұрын
@@filipvadas7602 Damn why be so negative? There are many examples of hard work paying off, so don't try to pass of hard work as something pointless. Maybe you've had negative experiences or you're simply just plain negative yourself but talent without hard work hardly pays off, you have to commit yourself to a certain level. I can speak from personal experience, i am not a gifted person physically or skill wise in boxing but i have dedicated myself very much to the sport and currently have a 27-7 amateur record and have won competitions against more naturally talented opponents, and it all came down to the effort and work i put in compared to them, most of them haven't put in the countless hours in the gym like i have or haven't put in the hours of research like i have. Natural talent is great and can get you far but without hard work you will never reach the best you can

I cried the whole speech while I worked out, I have given up on myself the past 3 years and not taking care of myself at all, and this is coming from someone who took pride in my healthy habits and hitting the gym everyday I had accomplished so much and let it all down the drain because of some stupid guy that controlled and abused me for years, I’m taking my life back starting today!!!!!!!

Love it! And I am so sorry to hear you had to go through that nonsense. I've been on and off with my health and fitness throughout out the years. But 7 weeks ago, I started back up. I'm on my 8th week starting. Over half the the time, I don't want to work out; I don't want to go biking or hiking. But I will still force myself to. And even if I had a bad workout or a bad ride or a bad hike, it's still better than no workout, no ride, or no hike. So keep on keeping on. You're not alone. It's through the struggles that we learn; through the struggles that we grow. Never stop learning. And never stop growing. One love. Respect! 🤙🤙🤙
