The bodybuilders in the 70s look so much better than the ones today. They didn't have all these garbage supplements, only roids and lots of food.
@darkofight10 жыл бұрын
as if roid is a good thing.
@sotospan840910 жыл бұрын
It's not, but it's better than HGH.
@FifDaDragon10 жыл бұрын
Difference is back in the day it was a year round thing to be in shape, to be Olympian meant day in and day out sculpting whereas now they just dirty bulk and then suck in as many roids/supplements as possible to cut and look like Mutant Turtles
@slevinsleven277510 жыл бұрын
lol, you know that Arnold use to take steroids when he was competing, right? And like most people who train, he was taking proteines supplements as well... just saying...
@kylethekidable9 жыл бұрын
+Guttural Vocal Covers Yes suppliments work, protein powder works just not as efficiently as downing chicken or steak. Next, in his day they had plenty of steroids, including test suspensions in a few different esters, dianabol, promobolan, early versions of anavar and masteron and late 70's is when deca was first being worked on. Diuretics? Those have been around since people realized if they ate alot of certain foods it purges the shit out of your system...ever try slicing up and downing a couple pounds of cucumber? You will piss and crap every once of waste out of your body. Late 70's was when clen came out and some body builders played with it because they were starting to realize how the asthma medicine could effect fat loss. Hell, arnold admitted to taking steroids, many believe primobolan was a favorite, given the known effects and signs of appearance of the various available substances of his era. And pure testosterone? Nobody has used that en masse since the russians had it developed because you would literally be pinning twice a day and on enough arimedex to kill your liver in 2 months. You hate anything but eating clean and lifting? Cool bro, but brush up on a subject you want to come on youtube and bash.

DrSuperpump fuck the eighties they're gone and past. Live the best life you can today in the here and now. Bodybuilding will shift back to this eventually just wait. The freak shows are not good for the sport, they will push more and more men's physique and eventually it will just go back to the golden era. Right now size is the prize, but eventually symmetry and proportion will come back. Bodybuilders will become bodybuilders and not lab experiments soon I'm telling you. Watch closely over the next 5-10 years.

@Unique08 theres always that one ignorant loudmouth...dude not only was it perfectly legal back when Arnold was competing but everyone was using it. You could walk in and have controlled dosages given to you by a physician. Sit down and shut up
@manicminer412710 жыл бұрын
Actually it was the 70's. Steriods are an accepted part of body building, all mr olympia contestants take them. Sticking a needle in your body doesn't give you muscles. It just enables you to get bigger when you train and eat correctly. You still have to push yourself to the edge further than the other guys and have the diet keyed in 100%.
@spyware11006 жыл бұрын
Actually, they give you muscles! There was a study where people who took steroids but didn't work out at all in a 8 week period gained more muscle than who trained naturally for 8 weeks. www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199607043350101 .... 10 weeks, my bad :)

@simbaRahh I think I agree for the most part. People have the right to smoke, drink, etc. It seems you have the right to put whatever you want in your body. You make a good point, if you are competing, you don't deserve to win against people who do it naturally. But, if you're not winning anything for doing it, it shouldn't matter.

In the movie, Bigger Stronger Faster, they say Arnie took his posters down from gold's gym because he didn't want to be associated with steroids during campaign for governator. Is that true?? and now a youtube video implies that the posters were back up shortly after this movie was released. maybe it's just coincidence and posters were taken down for renovations.

there is no "modern bodybuilding".To tell you the truth, many of todays bodybuilders could easily look like the ones in the 70's and 80's, choosing the corect training, dedication, inspiration, hard work and perseverance. but afterall it's a matter of choice.and i agree that today's competition isn't as though as the old ones, back in the 70's were much stronger dreams to acheive than today's comodity.

@2010Mrsurfer I dont know what the original comment was.. but shakes are snake oil for the most part. Drink milk, eat clean, you'll get big, if you eat a diet of mainly fish, meat, chicken,milk, and cheese, you'll get your protein in, it will take care of itself! I eat 200-300g's a day without protein shakes.. Shakes are an ocasional additive to your diet. Shouldn't be a staple of it, in my opinion,
