The story of Arnold acquiring the Hummer goes back to when he saw soldiers driving it around California. He was itching to find out who made it so he pulled over some soldiers on the highway and inquired into who made the vehicle. He had to pursued GM to sell it to him, but couldn’t because it was under a Pentagon contract.

Well as the story goes the Pentagon allowed it to be released, a civilian version made and the plant was eventually saved and many jobs were saved in Michigan when an economic downturn occurred because of Schwarzenegger.
