He didn't tell them just that. He used to say his three goals in life were to be the greatest bodybuilder of all time, the biggest movie star of all time, and to marry a Kennedy. Only the biggest movie star of alll time part is debatable. But...he, at the VERY LEAST...made his mark on Hollywood forever.

@@davidsavage5630 I don't know about that. Arnold was a pretty established huge action star in the 1990s. Every movie he was in from 1982 to 1994 were pretty much back to back to back hits. He was paid 25 million in Batman and Robin , while George Clooney was only paid 1 million. So yeah he conquered Hollywood alright.

Man seeing a special screening release of Predator in 2018 was wild! The entire theatre was packed and rightfully so, this film is an instant classic! I have seen the movie many times already before I went to see it in the Cinema and man how happy I was that they were showing it for one night at my local cinema, the cheering, the clapping and people shouting out the quotes before even the line been said was an experinece! 😂 I am glad I was able to see this on the big screen. One of my all time favorite Action/Horror films, they don't make them like this anymore. Also, I have to say Predator 2 is a great sequel and does not get as much appreciation as the first film and I think it should, Danny Glover killed it in that film!

Arnold's look in the beginning was because he was focusing psyching himself up to get started. And he didn't sleep enough. He's very intelligent and has an iron will. He used to walk 8 miles each way at 15 to go to the gym and would lift weights in the freezing cold.

@@90sgrunge1 I can't leave it at just those (though, I'm not knocking your opinion...those are great movies). Conan the Barbarian, The Terminator, Commando, Predator, The Running Man, Total Recall, T2, True Lies. Hell...I've always been a Last Action Hero apologist. I think that film and its humor were ahead of its time. And it had the misfortune of opening the week after Jurassic Park. I don't hate Terminator Dark Fate either. I prefer it to every other Terminator film since T2...that's for sure. I get other people's issues with it but...I was pleasantly surprised.

I will always have a tremendous amount of respect for Arnold. TRULY a self made man. Shows up in California with very little money, some serious dreams and bodybuilding know how and can't speak English. Works out in the EARLY A.M. Works construction all day. Takes acting classes in the evening. Works out again late. Born in poverty. And WILLED himself to be what you see here. It's inspirational. He's not perfect. Nobody is. But seriously...if I'm getting overwhelmed or discouraged...I think about this sort of thing and his positive "always improve" attitude and it helps.

When Arnie chose to Predator early in his career that was a good decision. Its one of his best movies. This was going to be a movie where his elite team were going to be hunted and killed by a superior being. The finale when Dutch gets the respect of the Predator for putting up a fight so he challenges him to a straight out duel. Its obvious that even Arnie can't handle the strength of the Predator but Arnie had been smart. He got beat the hell out of but the traps he set meant he was able to defeat the Predator. A classic movie!

This man really knows cinema got to learn so much like listening to a real war hero.. Ya no wonder he's the best . I like how much he compliments his directors and rest of the team here. Mc Terrnan was a masterful genius.. Big fan of his works including Die Hard and Thomas crown affair.

When I was 11 my mother and father saw this movie and told me about it, but said I was too young to see it. This only intrigued me more and I often asked my mother about it. She was only too happy to tell me more, but not soo much as to devulge the plot if the movie. When I finaly saw the movie, I was hooked. Best hype for a movie ever. Thanks mom love you.

There is a lot I don’t know. But I didn’t know that Arnold Schwarzenegger had made a trip to Dallas to do a interview for his movie predator. That’s awesome.

Sums it up well: "We don't exploit violence [in Predator]". That is why this film succeeded where so many others failed.

When I was a kid, Predator was already pretty much on "syndication" on channels like TNT. I probably seen it on a console TV I'm sure for the first time lol and many times after that, edited for TV of course. Mid 90s I'm guessing. And I still watch it to this day, now that I can stream unedited it is that much better.

Arnold will always be my favourite action actor in my lifetime. Just a slight bit more than Stallone who I also love. Both great action heroes but what makes Arnold my favourite was Predator, Running Man & Total Recall. Those 3 movies are in my top 10 of all time. I wish we could get 10 years of more movies from this man in his younger years. Same with Stallone.

When I was a kid I remember seeing Arnold on the Oprah Winfrey Show around this time. They had the whole cast of Predator on stage -- Arnie, Jesse, Bill Duke, and Sonny. It was awesome. If anyone has this or locates this, please post!
