Jeunesse- Reg was big in the 50s and my dad loved Steve reeves more. But i love Reg Park and I'm a big fan of his and got fit using his 5x5 technique. He was an awesome human being and a great bodybuilder. He inspired me a lot and I go around the world wherever I train and my friends in Australia and Europe about your dad. His contributions and legendary status lives in us and I just wanted you to know his legacy is far stronger than the modern drug riddled bodybuilders of today.

Reg Park inspired me to take up weight training in the 1950s. In three years using a modified form of his 5x5 principles (I changed it to 3x5), I gained more than 30 lbs from less than 120 lbs to 150 lbs. It wasn't all muscle because I had access to only milk and eggs. I wasn't very strong - front squat 275 lbs X 10, bench press 180 X 5, and deadlift 230 X 5. Without any specialised training I could military pressed 150 lbs twice. My measurements were expanded chest 43", thighs 24", calves 14.5" and flexed upper arms 15". I know these poundages and measurements are ridiculously small but to someone who was so skinny and who could only deadlift a train axle before commencing training I'm more than satisfied with my results. Over the years I've only managed to train sporadically due to several reasons. Today at 83 years of age my physique and strength is generally better than my friends who have never taken up weight training. I owe all these accomplishments to Reg Park. To me he's the greatest bodybuilder of all time. I still have a scrapbook of Reg Park's photos among which is a photo of Jon Jon "deadlifting" two dumbbells when he was a toddler.

What a wonderful 2 hours Jon Jon! Thanks for sharing insights into Reg's life and career, and the super-special anecdotes throughout the podcast. Few will know that the genes of both Reg and your mom, Mareon were passed along to you and your sister, Jeunesse: Mareon was a top ballet dancer, you a world class swimmer among other sports, and Jeunesse also a top swimmer and a gorgeous model. Being a client of Reg's for years was a life-changer - not only physically, but intellectually too. You will likely not remember this, which is my anecdote... You had come to SA to see your family. One day I was training in the gym on my own doing push-downs, and out of the corner of my eye I saw you a few machines away. I did not know you well way back then. However, next thing I noticed you gesture to me - no words said - to move closer to the machine, thus correcting my technique. Now thats is a Park family trait... always looking out for the other person. More podcasts please!

There's no doubt in my mind that Jon Jon is the best trainer in the world. No one has such a comprehensive knowledge of training techniques, anatomy, nutrition, and motivational techniques. He is sorely missed here in Johannesburg, but he continues to mentor and inspire personal trainers in South Africa, as his father Reg did before him. Reg's nickname was The Legend, and Jon Jon carries on his Legendary Legacy! A true gentleman and a tribute to his parents, Reg and Mareon.

Truly an incredible documentary about the life of the most infamous body builder of all time - Reg Park. His son Jon Jon Park, describes Reg's incredible life and rise to notoriety as a 3x winner of Mr. Universe and starring in the film "Hercules" as Hercules in 1965. He also discusses Reg's influence and life changing mentorship on a young Arnold Schwarzenegger. Jon Jon also shares his training expertise and what he believes is the best way to train the body in 2022. It's quite inspiring.

Rule number one of his incredible success is that he has a very close and friendly relationship with billionaire Warren Buffett. As an Arnold fan, you need a friend like that too. Then you too will be just as successful, no matter what you do. Then you too can have people killed if it benefits you. What is the difference between Arnold and Adolf? Only the magnitude of their murderous misdeeds. Arnold and Adolf have three things in common: both are Austrians, one then became an American, the other a German. Both ruined a country as politicians, one only California, the other only Europe and both had people murdered, one only 3 people, the other only 60 million people. Arnold Schwarzenegger 1973 - 2022 | Arnold Schwarzenegger then and now. Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger is an Austrian-American actor, film producer, businessman, former bodybuilder and politician who ruthlessly executed three people between 2003 and 2011 as the 38th governor of California just to get more votes or not lose. Why do so many people think Arnold Schwarzenegger is a good person? He ordered the executions of Donald Jay Beardslee, Clarence Ray Allen and Stanley "Tookie" Williams for campaign reasons. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger declined a plea for clemency despite a report indicating that Jay Beardslee was suffering from a mental illness caused by brain damage. Arnold Schwarzenegger not only does not differ from the regime in Iran, but as a European his actions are to be classified as far more inhuman. In all civilized countries except the United States, an incident is known as a base-motive murder. He just did it to get a few more votes or not lose. He's a triple killer! The death penalty does not exist in Europe. But Arnold Schwarzenegger is European, and therefore civilized people must be constantly reminded that he is as much a multiple murderer as his victims, whom he executed for base motives. Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't create anything for mankind except some action movies and "sports" akin to watching monkeys at the zoo. Such a man is revered as if he were a saint. Murder in any form, whether someone is shot or the state does it, is part of American life. It's in the "culture" of America. Killing children with guns in their schools is something of a national sport in America. Even the Supreme Court in America encourages it. Unborn life must be protected, but once that life is born it can be shot in the name of freedom. What do you think this does to kids who know their father is a ruthless killer? Will they be cynical like their father? Do they become people who think they can get away with anything? Or will they one day break under this burden? Please spare me the answers like, this is about the content and the good things Arnold Schwarzenegger did. He has done no good to mankind! My contribution is for everyone whose brain has not yet been affected by anabolic steroids.
