This fella was born to review cars! I have never enjoyed watching a car review as much as this one - funny and fully informative! Absolutely superb job, Sir - and not just because I'm also from Glasgow!

I've been driving one for 3 weeks or so, love it. The GS model was the same (ish) price monthly as a base Design model with a turbo in it, so I went Design with a turbo. Turbo totally changes the car and gives you a 6th gear, absolutely lovely to drive

They’re economical, reliable, good for long trips. Don’t have much emotion to them, that’s all you could possibly criticise. Slightly more compact (say) than a polo, which is very useful if you live in a tenement and park on the street.

Lane keep assist is a nuisance in the Welsh lanes so goes off instantly! Wish it would stay off though. I have a Mokka e ultimate and those intellilux headlights are absolutely superb

I was saying the same at Wales

Almost crashed into oncoming traffic on country lanes because driver assist tech sensed the lane marking and a parked car so nudged the steering wheel in the opposite direction putting me inches from a side to head on collision luckily I countered the nudge and turned that garbage off. It’s okay on mways but I’d say be careful because it has behaved similarly but not in a way that would cause an instant accident.

It should remember to stay off, it does with mine, nuisance is the A/C stays on until remember to switch off same as auto button

The 3 modes are basically gearbox maps. Allowing more revs in each gear. So sport will use all the rev range and use more boost

That's very good to know. Thank you!

I have just bought one four days ago. Corsa 1.2 turbo automatic the entry level I have never driven an automatic car before I am wondering if you could do a Tutorial just on how best to use the automatic and the paddles on the steering wheel in manual that would be really helpful or is there a sight where Ican get a tutorial on these functions.

I'm finding the online manual difficult to use- is this the way all Stellantis car manual are issued? It mentions power adjustment for the driver's seat- mine is manual, can't see why the power version is missing. It will take me some time to work my way through the manual to get settings sorted, not entirely happy with that.

Since your 6 "2 and can just about sit behind yourself, that's really impressive for a supermini.

I've driven the pre-facelift Corsa a few times through work, and my only complaint was the steering had a little dead zone on the straight ahead. Otherwise it was a nice little car, engine had a nice bit of pep to it. The dash I really liked and it was pretty impressive on fuel. I have to admit, I found the lank assist to be very grabby. Systems that inform the driver I like, so blind spot warning, speed limit indicator, parking sensors etc, things like that I like because they provide information to the driver to help make better decisions, but systems that try to take over frustrate me. I can't stand Lane Keep Assist in general and much prefer the older Lane Departure Warning systems that just buzzed the wheel or seat. I prefer dumb cruiser control, radar-guided tends to slow down too early for me or gets spooked randomly. I just feel more in control with standard cruise control (I'm not ready for self-drivers yet).

It's nice to get some assistance but it's also good to be able to control how much of it that you want to use.

@@ArnoldClarkAutos True, the single button to turn the Lane Keep Assist off is handy.

It says in the brochure that the Ultimate variant has interior ambient LED lighting... what does this look like? Not seen pictures ANYWHERE of it.

Those touch screen controls should be subject to the same ban as mobile phones, you need proper switches that you can operate without taking your eyes off the road.

At least most of things you use are still knobs and you can turn off the stereo / Check of Golf mk8 for something that should be banned

I'm back, Omg this car!! I can't fault it one bit! Your review is excellent but it does not do this car the justice it deserves. For a little 1.2 hatchback these cars are something else!

Nice car, tech, comfort etc... still that wetbelt engine inside right? My grandland x failed at 25k miles, worst engine. Met people who needs engine replacement under 30k miles for vaxhuall grandland x. So will be same for here aswell.
@shaka7594Ай бұрын
Probably used wrong oil and never had it changed often enough to go so quickly, i agree these modern cars that have wetbelts are designed to fail quickly tho, i just think it's pot luck with them, just warranty to the hilt and never miss a service imo.

How does this compare to a polo?
@roderickmathison52458 ай бұрын
Polo feels slightly more stable, less easily disturbed on bumpy roads. Polos with decent engines are expensive though, and they’re quite big, not ideal if you have to park on the street.

First of all it’s not a supermini. The Fiat Panda and the Renault Twingo of yore were superminis.

This might be a controversial view and it has grown in size over the years, but the Corsa has won awards in the 'Best Supermini' fairly recently.
