Arome Honey Butter Toast! This has to be much easier than I thought. Just make sure you use good quality brioche!
Ingredients:
100g butter
5 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp honey
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla paste (heaped)
Method:
Cut thick slices of brioche, discard edges. Mix butter, honey, sugar, salt and vanilla well. Spread on each side of the slice and bake at 180 for 10 minutes. Then take it out, flip and bake for another 7-8 minutes. Be very careful while flipping since caramel can be quite hot! Once all sides are nice and brown, take it out and let it sit on the tray for 2-4 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack and let it cool! Remember: This process is what will make the toast crispy. Enjoy with whipped cream or as is, just how I like it!
Tips:
You have to use thick slices of brioche
Dip spoon in water when using honey so it doesn’t stick!
I used a silpat mat, waited for the caramel to cool down and then scraped it off! (Watch till the end)
